mind blowingly brilliant video
Glad you liked it!
😉 😂😅 🎉😊
YES I would love to see more of everything you do …. especially the inside decorating of the shed. I have been watching your channel for along time and I really have to applaud your style and ingenuity!
Thank you Sallie. If lots of viewers are interested in this I will certainly make sure to film the interior in a similar way.
@@suburbanhomesteadI would love to see that!
Please film the interior transformation as well!
Absolutely, would like to see it all!

This is the type of show I would watch over and over. It has such a PBS vibe which is the HIGHEST compliment I can give. Wonderful as always!
That is the highest compliment I could get.
I've only known you for 18 minutes and 19 seconds and I am now looking forward to the rabbit hole of a sleepless night binge-watching everything you've posted. Of course, I want more!
Samee!! 🤭
real!
Same here as well!!!
Sameee
SAME, but I'm at the office, so i can't wait to get home and get a sleepless night stalking his channel hhshhs
The amount of art that went into this video is insane, especially for how long the project took and the short amount of time the video is. This is crazy
Everyone wants beautiful nature but nobody wants to face the part where things left outside tend to rot. There's no need to feel embarrassed, thank you for showing this honest view of keeping and refurbishing a garden.
THIS GUY!!! I sit in literal awe at your creativity, vision, and flawless execution. This project is magnificent!
The slo-mo dramatic spinning shoe while unscrewing...😂😂😂 Your videos are little masterpieces: visually dramatic vignettes, sprinkled with gentle humor and cram-packed with instructive ideas. Love it! Also, delighted to see fledgling vultures and judgemental cats. Peace and kind wishes.
Your comment perfectly reflects what I wanted to say. So . . . ditto Rachel! Cheers
agreed! perfectly spoken
Loved your creative video. Amazing how you saved the shed and created a masterpiece work of art. Please show videos of the garden around it and the inside decor.
The fact that this comment appeared just when he was spinning in the video made me laugh so hard 😂😂
YESSSSSSS 🙌
The effort, the details the cinematography, the commentary, just wow. New subscriber here
I also just subscribed after watching this video. I can't believe people can actually live like this, this is literally my dream home🥹
really digging the vibe! the new shed gives the impression of a cartoon owl, which is to say cute and casually sophisticated. (:
After getting this recommended at least 10 times in the past month I’ll finally watch it
Your craftiness and ability to hoard and reuse material never cease to amaze me. I would love to see more videos about the shed. Also, you make adding character look so easy.
Being a bit of a hoarder yet actually being able to make things with the materials may make the habit worse. So I do try to be judicious with what I collect.
@@suburbanhomestead My father was a saver (and craftsman like your self), my brother is a hoarder, it's all the difference in the world!
You’re editing, your humor, personality, the style, your respect for everything and just your entire channel is so inspiring and refreshing to see. Especially in an age of mindless consumerism and heavy individuality, you show a connection between you, past people and their work and respecting everything, even being environmentally conscious with wood waste, landfills and using the existing plants. I love it
I agree, he is very inspiring
👍🏼the way it should be, humph
A man after my own heart when you said, "Don't judge me" for the stuff you've been hanging on to! Funny, imaginative, and fun video of a garden shed. Made me wish I had a garden shed to spruce up, but since I don't I've subscribed to your channel and liked the video.
The paint scheme really adds a soft and lovely touch that shows off the foliage, while being its own little pretty centerpiece, as you intended! I am glad I got to see the process behind it. Thank you!
Looks like it's out of a storybook Siloe! Really appreciate not only your reuse and design/craft skills, but also your commitment to aesthetics. Miss ya!
Glad to see you here Summer. Your garden have also really come along and the small cottage is perfect with the texturing you and Sander gave to the place.
My man your projects are unparalleled. This continues to be my favorite channel. If somebody showed me the design of this shed I’d say “wow that designer is talented.” Then if someone showed me the execution of building the shed I’d say “wow that contractor they hired did a wonderful job.” Then if you just showed me the video I’d say “wow that director and editor and motion graphics designer are super talented.” The fact you did all of those things is legitimately inspiring. I’m in awe haha.
Yes, all that.
Absolutely!
❤
Totally 😊
Absolutely agree!! These videos are impressive!
INTERIOR VIDEO PLEASEEEEE🫶🫶🫶
I finally found the fantasy builder.
You can literally transform any structure into fantasy like beautiful structure.
Pls keep uploading such videos.
Although your viewers, I am sure would agree, would love more quantity of your videos, the quality is worth the wait. It is a pleasure to be invited into the world of such a unique and creative individual as yourself. Please share your planting and inside renovations of your lovely shed.
Thanks for understanding
I love it. You are so talented. ( Mr Artist ) 👍
I like the fact you didn't tear it down , you reused what you could and added where you needed. Love it.
You're a genius... in so many ways. The fact that you can multi-task by doing this phenomenal makeover WITH environmental conservation themes at bargain prices AND do a fast speed CZcams video with humorous / quirky inserts is uh-mayy-ZING!! Thank you!
Hi from the countryside of São Paulo! I found your channel while recovering from dengue and it made the whole process of being in bed a lot more interesting. I would love to see everything related to the shed because I’m just so in love with it! Thank you for the high quality videos and information poured in them. And, of course, all the dedication to everything you do. It shows 💛
You're the most resourceful hack I've ever seen. I hoard bits of architectural finds and impulse purchases that I keep and mind-doodle into a plan, but I dont have your courage and patience to document the process. I enjoyed seeing your process and work; very inspiring! Now a subscriber.
The foxgloves perfectly match the cream, green and yellow of the shed. I love it! Can’t wait for an episode about planning and planting the garden around it 🥰
You’re creations, execution of ideas, beautiful editing… seriously friend you’re so inspiring and I very much appreciate your attention to details. Be well and looking forward to what you come up with for the rest of this structure! 😊
Thanks my friend! I appreciate the kind words.
love the use of reused materials and the respect to previous energies & craftsmanship. I've found my people
The patible creative talent when creating the crownmolding honestly blew me away. Can't wait to see more!
the crown molding especially is such a fantastic upcycle, and it adds so much
Glad to hear that. I specifically make that section more of a tutorial in the hopes people would find it useful and they can replicate the process.
@@suburbanhomesteadI’ll absolutely be using this brilliant technique on a shed or similar!
Imma take a second to give a round of applause for how much stuff you can fit in the back of your tiny car. Absolutely astounding. The build is incredible too!
I was extremely impressed at that as well!
Yes, please! A video of the interior redo! Really enjoyed this makeover, so I’ve subscribed and will be checking older videos!
This was a beautiful project, very well done! I loved your use of color and I am constantly impressed by your creativity. I would love to see what you decided to do with the interior and garden beds around the shed
Thank you for your feedback and I hope you like what is to come.
It looks so whimsical, i'd love to see more videos about the shed!
Thanks. I hope to bring more of them.
I really enjoyed the loving, gentle and respectful way your cottage shed came together. The shapes and colours along with the fun details matched with your carpentry talents made this video inspiring to watch. Please favour us with another and tell us more!
Absolutely love this!! I love using old items and not wasting them. You brought so many things back to life, in a very lovely way 🧡
You had me at Miyazaki! I would love to see more of the shed's interior and garden. You have a great grasp of architectural features that sadly aren't used anymore. Your entire garden is such an inspiration!
The shed turned out incredibly beautiful! I love this so much! Also great storytelling and editing!
I think you found the line separating unnecessary remodeling from fantasy land, and crossed it!! I'm glad you did and I want to see more of this.
YES, PLEASE!!!! Yes, yes, yes. I find myself watching older videos over and over. I always gain such enormous inspiration from you. Thank you.
"At the end of the day it's all about the respect for the embodied energy that went into producing a piece of wood like this and how we can creatively use it" ❤❤❤ You are awesome!
What a dream! Your creativity, knack for reusing and restoring old items, and mindful design is truly something to behold!
This is the first video I've seen of yours but I'm absolutely stunned by the beauty of this makeover. So inspiring to see someone both reuse so many materials sensitively and also design something so 'banal' so beautifully.
The shed turned out really nice. I can’t wait to see more on planting around the shed and fixing the inside of the shed. You do such nice work.
Glad you are interested. Thanks for letting me know.
Just the other day, I was thinking, "It's been a while, I wonder what Siloe is doing. I'll bet it's fantastic!" And then your video popped up! The nexus of practical and aesthetic is where you live. This video was so much fun! I loved your animations and witty comments. Time spent alone on a creative project beats so many other things. The final result is an adorable shed! And I loved how you used every bit of wood from other projects. People will say, "Why are you keeping that old thing?" This is a perfect example! And yes, I'd love to see what you do inside, and hear your thoughts on what plants to use to make feel like it's been there forever. So great to see you again!
I have a shed that I've "fixed" once from water damage and rot. It needs to be fixed again. You've completely changed my idea of how a shed should look!!
Wow I loved everything about this video
, the amazing vision for the home, the care of the old, the videography, and the fact it felt like I was reading a novel rather than watching a video … not to mention the incredible journey itself. Def got a new subscriber here 👌💜
Wow! Your creativity is unparalleled. Great job not only transforming that old shed but also capturing all that work in such an amazing video. You're a rockstar!
i study architecture and i am blown away by how effortlessly you make the graphics to explain your design process. good job and i am inspired.
Would LOVE to see you redo the interior of the shed and you planted your garden , this is m first video and I’m already blown away and have watched this twice ! Incredible work, I’m inspired!
i love the way you thought about disassembling instead of destroying, and i love your humor!
I love how you keep a reuse old items in such a beautiful way. Great job.
I can’t help trying to find new uses to things.
@@suburbanhomestead the inside of my shed and garage look the same… so many pieces of salvaged lumber and antique handles etc. wish I had the time to do what you’re doing!
How is this possible? I mean, great work, but this looks like a miracle. Would love to see more of the shed, if possible
I’m honored by your comment! I hope to inspire you all to dream and experiment as well.
I am 4 minutes into this video, which happens to be the first video I've ever watched from you. And I've already subscribed. I love your enthusiasm and the recurring alliteration is just *chef's kiss*
this video made me so happy to see the amount of effort and love that was put into this build i love the decoration of the outside and how it’s not just a white box it’s a cozy area now and it looks stunning kinda reminds me of mr roger for some reason
I love seeing your videos. This is such an incredible project. The way the shed seems to feel in the space makes it a unique part of the landscape. Thank you for another incredible inspiration.
I’m so glad to hear that. I’ve tried to create spaces of belonging and I’m happy to see you recognized that in the work.
My daughter and I started to tear out the walls of an old shed in her yard. The studs and roof were fine but the sides and floor were a mess. She’s continuing to work on it. I sent her this video for inspiration.
Enchanting and beautiful, I love the use of existing pieces instead of new. You took a sow's ear and made a silk purse.
Over the years your gardens, homes and many projects have filled my mind with ideas of how I could do something similar. However, this new lease on life that you have given to your garden shed has captured my heart! I am restoring a 50+ year old cabin and this speaks volumes to the ideas I have for the exterior. Love it! ❤
I'm just starting the video (for some reason I didn't get the notification that you posted it) and want to gush a second about how good your videos are. I love the mix between genuine passion for the aesthetic and self awareness about it. The editing is always fun and entertaining, and of course the content itself is super informative and inspiring.
I’m glad you have enjoyed the videos. CZcams probably did not notify you sooner because I don’t post too often. Also if you had not been watching gardening videos recently it may not immediately notify you. Since this video has been performing really well CZcams decides to show to more people.
Beautiful shed! Yes, show us more of your work on the shed!
Thanks for letting me know you want to see more.
Soooooooo pretty!!! My husband calls me crazy because I want to save the structures instead of tossing them! I restored my potting shed and it looks beautiful! 🥰
As many others who’ve commented I’m blown away with ur creativity here. It’s always so difficult for me to “see” the end product and u make it look effortless. Thanks for content and will be digging into ur backlog for more ideas and information
You are a genius and cute too! Of course I want to see more of this project: the front STEPS finish, the interior of the shed, the decor, the ROOF finish, and plants and flowers around the shed (please don't let the plants cover that beautifully renovated shed!) Greetings from Georgia, USA. Dec. 11, 2023 💖
This is exactly what I imagine when I dream of rebuilding old homes. A respect for plants and the joy of aesthetics. A piece of my heart always breaks when I have to watch people rip out well grown trees and vines. Thank you for only pruning and preserving!
Oh no, oh no, oh no! I fear this video will inspire me to spruce up the hideous shed in my garden! God knows where imagination might take me!
Hmmm. I started this garden after trimming dead branches from our Ponderosas. The twisted branches cried out to be used as quirky garden beds, and a style was born: crazy shaped garden beds, where twisted branches are held in place by wooden stakes. Oddly enough, as I contemplate how to blend the style into the garden shed, I need to trim dead branches out of the trees that overhang the shed! I'll probably wind up using those dead branches to decorate the shed. 🙂
Hmmm. Maybe a half-timbered look, with twisted, live-edge "timbers" in-filled with cob. 😲
I'm so glad to have found this quirky corner of youtube! I love your style, Siloe!
There’s a phrase in Russian that literally translates to “making something from shit and sticks” - meaning “to make something hastily from garbage you have on hand”. Well, while this was indeed made from leftovers that any other person will consider garbage, your gold hands turned this into a true treasure. It’s also clear that this is a well thought out project, with all the color matching and planning! I’m really happy I stumbled upon your channel, and I would LOVE to see more!
Zipedee Doodah! From Monstrosity to Marvelous, you are a hero. Everything is charming and original and looks to have stepped out of the year 1860. And of course we want to see how you finished the interior, silly question! I love that you saved not only the trumpet vine, but also used items that many would toss in the trash. I have a Trumpet vine that tries to swallow my little garden shed, but I am able to control it with heavy pruning every year. I love the way it shoots its branches straight up and out of the roof top like Einsteins hair.
Thanks for stopping by Jeri. Your inventiveness has been an inspiration on this, especially your greenhouse build. As for the trumpet vine, have you noticed more blooms with heavy pruning?
@@suburbanhomestead Now that you mention it, I think I do get more blooms...
i just want to take a moment to tell you how inspiring it is to see people dedicated to their art and craft, spending hours of their day just to focus on all the little details. i love this. you inspire me and you remind me what i love about people. wish to see more of this.
I'll admit going into this vid I was expecting the classic CZcams carpentry of brand new play wood and the whole nine but was pleasantly surprised at the amount of character you gave this shed. I really love how it came out.
Love how you disassembled (with a pirouette no less!) and not demolished!
It's moments of silence for the old shed that cracked me up! I love the power of how you creatively repurpose this cottage garden potting shed! You are so creative! The possibility of producing so much stimulating content is truly one of your sacred gifts! 🎁🎀🎁🎀
You are like the joyful cottagecore equivalent of Christine McConnell , I ADORE your videos!!!! Please never stop creating, your way of creating things is in path with my view of life and I can’t wait to create my own garden next year using all of your advices !
Oh and please share what you planted around the shed and how you rearranged things !!
The transformation of the garden shed is Inspiring!! The orange door was scary, but your creativity made it work. WOW!!! ❤

Meet a new day, how are you feeling today, hope all is going well with you over there??
I just found this youtube channel and I am very proud t osay I'm positively obsessed with this guy 😭😭😭 the style, the vibes, the jokes, the editing all around chef's kiss. keep it up soldier 🫡
Beautiful! Yes, i would love to see what you do to the inside of the shed. I'm sure it will be beautiful and functional. Glad to see you're back.
Thank you for being here! I’m already imagining all the possibilities for the interior.
I would love to see you do the interior and the planting around the shed !! This was an amazing video and good way to get rid of some extra time I had on my hands.
I am blown away by this video, I absolutely love it! I've always loved this type of cottagecore renovation stuff, but was never able to really relate to it because most other people i've seen go to home depot again and again to buy hundreds of dollars of new materials, and it makes the result both less relatable to the average viewer who doesn't have that kind of spending money, as well as less "intimate" because of the sterility and uniformity of the purchased supplies. Using odds and ends, recycling, upcycling, and scraping things together from all sorts of places just makes the video feel more like an adventure because I get to hear about all the places you got your materials from!
Hard work, talent and humor! Quite the combination!
A true masterpiece! The shed AND the video. Siloe, you made me smile, made me laugh and took my breath away. Love, love, love this episode. And I truly appreciate the detailed documentation and explanation of how you created the decorative elements. It made this old lady who possesses neither the skill, experience nor the tools to create any such project, you have me believing that even I can pull something like this off. So of course I would love to see a video of how you designed the garden area surrounding this masterpiece.
Oh... this is why I love creative people. They seem to make everything beautiful. Well done, classy guy.
I love the foxgloves so much they're one of my favourite flowers!
Ive fallen in love with your videos, they are so much fun to watch and I love seeing the end result. Your personality and sense of humor is refreshing!
This is so amazingly creative! I would never think to put all these salvaged pieces together and make it still look so cohesive. Please do videos on the topics you mentioned, I very much enjoy watching your work.
I am so jealous. What an adorable little shed. The saving of the honeysuckle vines made it so worth it!
I saw the name of this channel and thought, wow, ofcourse! Ashamed to say it was a lightbulb moment but so soothing to find someone who's not ashamed to be my embarrassed inner me, with their labour intense decommissioning right down to the screws. Lovely.
I have no words for this. I’m speechless and completely obsessed 🫠🤎🤎🤎
Just got recommended your video and I am in love with the subtle humor you sprinkle throughout your video. It's a lot more refreshing to see some humanity in renovation videos. Consider me a new subscriber!
Thank you CZcams gods for putting this vid on my homepage. I am so in love with this little cottage! It is ADORABLE! Everything about this is perfection - the cats, the vultures, the slo-mo running through the flowers with a scarf fluttering behind... 🤩
This shed video popped up at a time i needed it. CHARMING is the only word for the shed result. Thank u. I subscibed
Your creativity in this just kept getting better and better! Just when I was like “that’s the best idea!” you outdid yourself seconds later! Beautiful work ❤
Your symphonic dance scenes are hilarious 😂
Glad you appreciated the humor. It’s a break from my more serious persona
I always watch your videos with a big smile on my face, but this project takes the cake! It looks like a fairy garden shed and it melts my heart as fellow artist to see how you use decoration and colors and then execute it all with such elegance and soul, filming and editing included! You are such a huge inspiration and keep on showing us why grown ups need to keep on being playful :) Can't wait to see what you did on the inside. Love from EU!
You are a kind, creative talented soul. The world needs more like you. Yes, there are methods to our madness..creative minds.
stop it right now..... my heart is exploding! This is the first of your videos that I am seeing and I am loving it! I wasn't sure of your color pallet at first and then loved it more and more as the video progressed! Thank you for taking the time to create these videos and gracing the internet with your cottage core aesthetic! its immaculate!
You're not a hoarder you've got vision. Will look forward to seeing the progress as you go along.
Stunning! It is so wholesome to see old structures get the love they deserve. Thank you for treating everything with such respect
Those pink foxglove really bring everything together. Can’t wait to see the trumpet vine come back!
Okay the 3D cad work here is a real hero
Dude; this is epic! I love to see "discarded" pieces of lumber repurposed and refashioned into something beautiful. Your shed looks like a mini-Victorian mansion, and I love it! Yes! Please show us what you do with the inside. You are a designer extraordinaire! 🙂
Wow it turned out absolutely lovely!!! I deeply admire your commitment to avoiding waste and reusing whatever you can, as well as your commitment to the ✨aesthetic✨
