Check out the 1960 Jefferson nickels where the zero is connected to the edge of the coin. The zero in the date is in its correct position but there's a small section of metal that projects to the edge. If you look at the date it will be obvious. I ran into many of these error coins back when they were first issued, (I guess I've given away my age.), but regardless these coins are still in circulation so keep an eye out.

I was at my local coin shop just two days ago, digging through the bins of pennies, nickels and dimes in mint set cut-out cellophanes. There were more 1964 than any other year, I guess from people cutting out those last-year-for-silver quarters. In fact I'd say at least HALF of the nickels were 1964. I guess now I'll have to go back and look at them all over again!!
I have a 1952 nickel with interesting marking on both sides. How do I know if it was minted like this or damaged out in the world?

Hi.i may have found a 1932 wheat cent made of brass.have surrounded it with other pennies and it has a much golder look and of course i havent cleaned it either.i cant find any info execpt on a new discovery of a 1982 lincoln cent.should i send it to pcgs or what do you think

HEY THERE!!!! So I grabbed a few rolls of nickels from the local credit union to thumb thru. First roll half way thru I find a pretty lil super shiny nickel. 1964 D. The best condition Ive ever seen of 1964. So as I always do I looked it up on couch collectables. I then learned about the sharp strike. 😁 No doubt in my mind that's what it is. I've always looked at coins but don't know what I should do with it. HELP!!!

I got 2013 D liberty nickel what makes it different from a regular coins the nickel I have had a bronze color. I have this coin for a long time. I’m not sure it has value. Please let me know thanks!

Hey I found a nickel with no mint mark on the front but has a "D" mint on the back. Mean much?
They changed the Mint location at some point.
I've got to nickel 1964d with an ( X ) thru the back side of it with a line thru the building on back as well

My 1964 no mint mark nickel must be worth something more than five cents. The building doesn't have full steps on the back.

@couchcollector. I found a nickel in the street today and the back is there but on the front the only thing that's there is a bit of Jefferson hair and the words "in God. T". No date it's blank and smooth weighs 4.73 grams. Any info would be great

I have A 1964 nickle wear the coin has been struck of centered. The date of Nickle is struck on the edge of the coin. You can also tell it was struck off centered because of the edges of the coin are deep instead of being even.
