I’m 53… about 10 years ago I got my last snowmobile, a Yamaha 700 sx. (Sadly not an SRX).. still, at the time was the best and smoothest engine I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a few. 240 picks and 10” carbides, was ridiculous fast!… I miss it.😢

Holy shit! That’s clean as fuck. Just got my 01 srx running last week after buying it as a project. These things rip! I’m used to riding a sidewinder and this thing really surprised me. I’ve still gotta line it up to the sidewinder, but it’ll be close

I own a 95 xcr 600(snow check), 98 storm, 98 srx 700(snow check, ohlian shocks) and 02 tcat.

The srx 700 is definitely faster than the sr viper four stroke. Yeah not the winder but will keep right up with them. The vipers only have 130hp compared to 145hp in the srx. The vipers have more torque i believe. I was able to ride through some deep shit with the viper that i would of gotten stuck in with my srx. My dad just bought a 23 viper and it doesnt even compare but it is a way better ride. I fell right in love with the new four strokes. Great vid!

I’ve ridden with owners of every make/model/year of sled. And over & over, my little ‘99 600 triple SX has been not only the source of of lots of compliments 😁 but I ride when everybody else is working on their shizz. 💙 I love all sleds, & the entire experience, don’t get me wrong. But the Yammie triples were a gift from the sledding gods!! And the SOUND...🥰

I have a 02. Recently got me a speedbox to check the times, haven't used that on the srx yet, but the venture 500 which Ive set up for sno x, does 60 feet in about 2,24 sec on snow, pretty good I think.

Haha sickkk bro! I’ve got the 2000. Looks like you have an m10 skid in there. Bar ends are after the fact. Like it tho. She fouls plugs easy if not warm. Put some pick in it and it will blow ur mind. My buddies with 1200 doo’s can’t gain on me until high in the top end. Good choice. The call it the devil in a blue dress. You’ll understand soon.

Well i mean, technically the sidewinder is still a triple even tho it's a 4 stroke, but in terms of 2 strokes yeah it's probably the fastest triple yamaha made

I have a 2000 triple sx 700 . fun machine to ride . just changing track now to a backcountry, primary spring and weights on order . also be changing the top gear ⚙️. any recommendations on the primary spring
Lmk how you like that backcountry track. I need something with bigger lugs. I live out west and we only have soft snow to ride in. This track won’t hook up very well.

May be. I had a few SRX’s & 998’s. SRX wouldn’t be quite as fast. Top end. Close. 998 easily quicker tho. Clutches have come a long ways since the SRX.

That’s the parking brake lever. SRXs don’t have reverse
Reverse comes out by that hot wheels sticker underneath the handlebars. That’s the park brake lever

The sled is not at my house right now or I would go look in the garage right now. I think it’s a Yamaha track with a little bigger lug but I’m not 100% sure.
Dont get me wrong SRX very sweet sled but storm sled is a lot harder to find that for sure . Storm sled wouldn't cost that much get it running... it sure be a lot cheaper then what you paid for SRX

Stupidly clean SRX, unfortunately the chassis of these sleds is stupidly fragile (I've fixed a few that broke) And they're slower then an F7... by a wide margin. They sound nice, but they're not that fast unless modified.
Side note: I have a set of öhlins that some idiot painted the springs black just sitting in my garage

Yes they are fast they set the amsnow shootout for fastest 1/4 mile in the day 12.003 and held that record for many years, had a faster et then a thundercat
