      I was debating on the Corolla Cross hybrid S and SE trims and ended up with the base. I don't need a wireless charger, roof racks, sun roof, and whatever else comes with the higher trims. So far no regrets despite the Camry looking nice.

      I would like to see the exterior lights turned on too. I expect it will be like the current 8th generation, the XLE/XSE will be nicer and full LEDs. When I got my 2019 SE I was disappointed the wraparound taillights didn't light up! And finally put XSE taillight housings on my SE.

    Brilliant video. I haven't seen anyone else compare the 4 trims in detail like that. And the review of features list by trim was really helpful. I couldn't figure why the base LE had a leather wheel until you showed the trim list and it's on the $600 cold weather package. The LE is my choice because of 16" wheels and softer suspension than SE.

    Thanks for doing such a great deep dive on the trims Jeff! I haven’t been able to get this content anywhere else! I really like the XLE but the dinamica suede looks straight up cheap compared to leather. The SE softex looks great but probably runs hotter on longer road trips and I’d prefer the softer ride of the XLE.

    • @tylerm1997
      @tylerm1997 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Toyota has been misleading with their lighting designs for the longest and it drives me nuts too. They claim that the Corolla has “distinct” signature daytime running lights but in reality they’re headlight integrated and not distinct at all. Even on the current 2024 models. The turn signals are LED but they’re not the DRLs and they’re only on when the headlights are on. It really started with their “Triple J” headlight design. They’re accent lighting . It’s also wild to think that it’s 2024 and they still have vehicles that have halogen DRLs

    For my tastes, it looks like the XLE has the most bang for the buck. One thing I wish: That the seat memory function was available in a package less massive than the "Premium Plus" (at $4k+). It's the only feature in that package that is really calling to me, and not worth having to get all the other items just to get the seat memory. Having a smaller "convenience/tech" package to be able to get that at a more reasonable additional cost would make it a lot more attractive.

    My favorite trim is the XSE with the premium plus package and awd, though not necessarily in that color. It seems that the only feature not available on the XSE is the memory seat function, which I've never used on my Rav4 Hybrid Limited anyway. I wish the XSE would have fog lights included since it's the higher end sport trim. Otherwise, the LE is my second favorite trim; it's actually a nice trim and value, especially with the added options. Did anyone notice the spot of paint chipped off on the left side of the front bumper on the XLE?

I would rather have the standard turn key. The push start button is nice, but can be expensive to repair if it ever malfunctions. Having XSE now hard to justify it vs SE in the new gen unless you are springing for fully loaded. XSE front looks like a colorful cow catcher. Would rather have 18s.

    Looking to buy one but wish I could’ve muted a lot of your comments. If I never hear a middle aged man sing or say holla again that would be great 👍🏻

    The LE with the BSM is an upgrade package which brings the car to over $30K. Toyota nickel and diming.

    would this be a better car to get than a non turbo Mazda 3 hatchback? camry has better gas mileage and higher hp even though they both have a 2.5 engine

    Love the LE but the cheap lighting is a deal breaker

      Duh? that's only a $10 LED bulb which you can replace anytime and you dont even need tools. Get out of here. I replaced all lights in my 04 Accord to LED for less than $200

    If you can't get a V6 you might as well get the LE Camry.
    It's just like buying an appliance.
    Just buy the top appliance if you can afford to waste your extra money.
