This really says a lot about industrial society and its future
Postmodern society. With its cultural liberation and Ontologisation. German sociologist Thomas Ziehe has written in depth about it.
Didn't need lyrics to know the message.
Very clever Germans
I am not German but I know enough where I can say that out of all the other translations I've read yours is Spot on! Best and IMO the only 💯 correctly translated lyrics.
Agree!
Rammstein lyrics and musics videos are unmatched.
Thanks for taking the time to make this! We non german speking plebians really appreciate it ❤
Any chance you ll do zick zack as well?

This is their best song they’ve ever done. Thank you.
I'm torn between Ich Tu Dir Weh and this. Both evoke such a visceral response from me!
I like the cheerleaders the best in the video.
This song's manifesting
This is my fav (so far) song off the new album...it has a kick-ass Marching Riff!! Like ur heading into War!
Exactly! I like to imagine an air battle, like in war thunder for example
I read somewhere that the cheerleaders' war dance was inspired by the Maori haka.
The whole album is a masterpiece, their best one with "Mutter" imho
well done marine, subtiteling all these songs.... ! you need many more likes for that work
Any Germans here? Shwarze Mann translates- Bogeyman? or Boogeyman? So the song is about (essentially) the Unknown? Or threats that America BELIEVES is around every corner? Yes?
Not even close.... Schwarzer Mann is literally the "Black Man". The song is about the political right wing using the threat of immigrating black/ brown skinned people (in this case refugees and political exiles) to scare people into following their racist ideology.
Its more about how the media [Fox News being an obvious example] trains people to be against one another
It literally means Black man.. Not because he's from Africa, but black like a shadow, and hides in the shadows.
It's an old German myth that parents would threaten their children with if they didn't behave, and now it's morphed into a fear for adults as told by a madman's message coming into our homes, to BE afraid.
@@jeffpearsall32 Thank you for the explanation. Is it also possible to translate it to- Boogeyman ?? Like Baba Yaga, or John Wick?
Thank you for the subtitles 🖤
Thank you for the amazing work!
Awsome!😍😍😍🤟🤟🤟
This one is fucking great
Watching this on Halloween
I admit I was there too although more because Sonne gave me an excuse to listen to Mutter again and I finally found the runs to listen to Zeit in full and this song has been stuck in my head since
I still.wonder why some people think they were fascists or nazis. They just play with dark imagery.
they literally did a song to say that they're at the left, "Links 2-3-4"
Cant be the only on who thought he said something about oxycontin😅 2:16
The version of this song on your google drive is gone.
Yeah I removed it when the copyright block was removed on CZcams. Sorry about that
I am huge fan of Rammstein ..
i love how delightfully unsubtle it is
Maybe turn on the close captions 😂
What's up ? I don't see any subtitles at all ???🤬🤬🤬
Try turning on close captions
I thought it's "The Black Man" not "Boogeyman"
Dier ist mein in Freudian
My girlfriend song lol
I think it's important to note Der schwarze Mann literally translates "the black man," especially considering the songs context/commentary.
Sorry, it’s Boogeyman.
Ahh yes the "information war" is here it's different then any other war ever fought in th history of man . I'm baked who else sees it ?
Why is it reading Bogeyman when it’s clearly Black Man that he’s saying?
The names are interchangeable. While Black Man is a more direct translation, the name Bogeyman fits the lyrics and ideals of the lyrics a bit more suitably in my opinion. Primarily that the Bogeyman in modern legend doesn't exist and is known to be made up by the people it's used against where as the Black Man is presented as a more real character in most tales. The song presents the Schwarzen Mann as more of an idea being pushed rather than an actual thing that exists. So I chose Bogeyman
@@educatedmarine ok it makes sense. I’m just trying to understand the song. It’s a great song but I know there’s a political message and I really want to get it right. I don’t speak German fluently but I understand enough that it was confusing me.
@@Robocline I understand my friend. They both mean the same thing though and are both correct. Best of luck with your understanding!
@@Robocline I speak some German. It's all about context. Much like in English, some words/phrases have dual meanings. This is intentional in this song to show the stupidity of being afraid of someone of different colour. This kind of wordplay is a signature Rammstein style lyric.
“Everyone is afraid of the Blackman” doesn’t sound right, at first glance it sounds like he’s talking about African people
Boogeyman makes more sense
So the Boogeyman in German is , the black guy ? 😂
