  • Recover hidden potential in your Thrush 710P by adding Cascade Aircraft Conversion's (CAC) performance-enhancing Pressure Cowl.
The larger S2Rs like the 710P are among the best flying and performing heavy-payload AG planes in current use. With CAC's Pressure Cowl reducing ITTs by up to 50 deg C, NG by 1-3% and fuel consumption by up to 3 gph, you will be able run more hopper capacity on those hot and humid days (and/or at higher altitudes.)
Of even more importance, the CAC Pressure Cowl will dramatically lower your long-term maintenance costs at every hot section and through an overhaul if you operate your turbine that long. PT6A-65 turbine engines represent a huge investment portion of this aircraft and can be very expensive to maintain if subject to excessive heat.
The secret to CAC's performance improvement is the Pressure Cowl inlet and integrated plenum with removable air-filter box. The stock 710P inlet system saps substantial power and adds additional ITT just to pull in air that the turbine requires. The CAC's Pressure Cowl directs air into the intake to create positive air pressure to force feed the turbine. While freeing up extra power, the CAC Pressure Cowl also slows and deflects foreign objects in the air stream to prevent them from penetrating or damaging the air filtration media. Analysis of turbine engine lifecycles shows likelihood of ITT drops of over 30 degrees C potentially doubling life of certain costly internal engine parts like CT discs.
CAC's removable filter box makes maintenance a snap. With washable and re-oilable filter media, the CAC filter box offers long life while maintaining high performance air flow into the hungry turbine. Operators in more challenging environments will often purchase a second air-filter box to allow as many fast filter swaps (in minutes) as necessary to keep the money-earning aircraft operating at full capability and avoid ever having the aircraft down for even a portion of a productive day.
