    I am so grateful for your channel! all the matches we would not likely see and can enjoy here. Nadal has always been a man of character and restraint. His face was so meek as he dismantled his opponent in two sets. I can only hope there will be some upcoming new champions that show half the class and character as Nadal.

    I’ve never known that guy who was taught a lesson or two by Nadal in this match, yeah, he deserved that disgrace, people who disrespect others get deflated very quickly 😂😂 😂, Nadal is one of the people I’ve loved to watch all my life, humble and respectful of others, a talented player after Rodger, a role model to the young generation, there’s no question about it, i just like the way he handled this particular situation, he really humbled that guy, not surprising that I’ve never known him, couldn’t waste my time watching a snob 😢

      Sadly for you, the goat isn't about subjectivity and opinions, just say that Nadal is your favorite player. The Goat is factually Djokovic for now unless Nadal won more grand slam, masters 1000 and Atp finals.

      "latent"??? I'd say that Nada, at 19 (18?) wasn't 'latent'. Nadal achieved "King of Clay" from that year through today. Latent? That's a term you apply to someone who has always had heterosexual relationships, then at 45, 50, 55 years of age realizes they are a homosexual. Latent homosexual.

Latent definition as I recall is: “existing, but not yet active, developed, or visible”. Rafa was the “latent king of clay” at this moment little did Gaston know, just yet? But he was already the “king of clay” at this point? You say? Ok, I agree, fair enough. But maybe 🤔 you say that because you already know he won 14 French Opens’?     The Argentinian who played the most mind games with people was Coria. He really messed with Gaudio's head in the RG final of 2004, but then got so overconfident that Gaudio snatched the victory.
    Gaudio always seemed a nice enough guy, but not every player can be kind to younger rivals, as Rafa is.
    Nicest and best Argentinian player, imo, was Del Potro.

      Jokeovic is that kind of opponent, that’s why he never won a single Player’s award or Sportsmanship award and never will.
      Jokeovic only became the BOAT, the most booed player in history and he’s still far behind Navratilova’s record of 59 GS or the GOAT Federer’s level of play.

      @@SkjeggspirMartina only has 18 singles GS. Keep in mind, Martina comes from an era where tennis fitness consisted of 1 to 2 hours of training today. The era where Novak dominates requires Novak to have a strict diet and training for hours a day. And I would imagine that Federer's level of play is lower than Novak because he has achieved less.

      @@inachos9766 , Federer’s level of play was the highest in history until he was permanently reduced by injury after 2011, and nobody has ever matched that. Even so an 80% Federer still won a lot after that too.
      Jokeovic has been lucky with genetics, the same as Jimmy Connors, but longevity isn’t greatness, regardless of your brain damage.🤡
      Navratilova’s 59 GS is still the record. And her 569 weeks at #1.

      Gaudio as the last completely unseeded winner of a slam on the ATP so was hardly over-rated. Also Gaudio was 3-3 vs Nadal. Coria 1-4.

      @@huzcer He's not really overrated, but only in the sense that no one really ever rated him that highly... Apart from that single French Open he never made it to the quarters of a single slam, and away from Roland Garros, never got beyond R3. Of all then 'one slam wonders,' (a term I usually avoid because it seems unduly disrespectful), I can't think of one with quite as bad a record as Gaudio in the Open Era, although feel free to let me know if you can come up with one!

    Tennis has always been like a boxing match without the physical hitting…the players are always trying to psyche themselves up, and their opponents down. There is no “gentility” in the sport, so while players may respect each other, the psychological games to get the opponent off their game is ever present.
    The irony of this story is that in a couple of yrs, Nadal was doing bush league tactics of his own against a younger Djokovic to get him intimidated and off his game…welcome to tennis…

    Gaudio didn't disrespect Nadal. Gaudio realized that young Nadal was an enormous new talent and he tried to make nadal get nervous if case for that time at least make nadal play shy. Not nice behaviour but not so rare in older players.

    The truth will come out in the end. He has been suspected of doping for many years and several have gone there that even doped people couldn't cope with Nadal. He must have had suspicious tests. Spain is known for doped athletes like Myleg on the skis, which I remember was the last Olympics I watched. Of course Nadal is doped and to think otherwise is, in my opinion, foolish.
