@@jimmyray5524 What he says is a historical fact. The first Gospel was written by Mark circa 70 A.D. while the Church was born on Pentecost in 33 A.D. So, the Church had already existed for 37 years before the first Gospel was even written. And may I remind you that Jesus never commissioned the apostles to write the Gospels but to preach the word of God. (Only 4 of the 12 authored a NT book.) Nor did Jesus himself write any book or letter but promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide the Church in all truth (sacred Tradition) until He returns at the end of this age. If anyone is heretical, it's the neo-Gnostic Evangelical Protestant who worships the Bible. 😏

I assume you are citing 2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" [KJV] Well, Mark was inspired by God to write his Gospel, and he was a member of God's household (Eph 2, 19-22),viz., historically the Catholic Church - "the pillar and foundation of the truth" (1 Tim 3:15). After all, it was the Catholic Church that infallibly determined the Canon of Scripture (all 73 Books) in the late 4th century under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The NT books were written to confirm the sacred traditions of the Church. You can be assured that the Bible is the word of God because the Catholic Church infallibly declared it so. In Protestantism, the word of God has often been grossly misinterpreted and distorted, since this religious movement wasn't started by Christ and isn't guided by the Holy Spirit. Sola fide, for example, is unbiblical and at odds with historical Christianity.
Sacred Tradition is the unwritten word of God and thus is a source of divine revelation from which even sacred Scripture (the written word of God) proceeds (Lk 1:1-4). By unwritten or verbally unspoken, we mean all the divine mysteries that are revealed or declared by the Holy Spirit to the Church in the passage of time (Jn 16:12-13). It’s because Tradition or God’s unwritten word is infallible that Scripture, God’s written word, is infallible since both sources of divine revelation originate from the Holy Spirit under the Spirit’s guidance (Tradition) or by the Spirit’s inspiration (Scripture). And since the written word proceeds from the initial unwritten word, Scripture must be interpreted in light of Tradition. The former medium serves as an objective norm or confirmation of the latter. Thus, these two mediums of divine revelation comprise two sides of the same coin, and so they mustn’t be divorced from each other or placed in opposition to each other. This isn’t an either/or proposition.
Tradition literally means “handing on” referring to the passing down of God’s revealed word from the beginning under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Moreover, Tradition means all divine revelation from the dawn of human history to the end of the apostolic age from one generation of believers to the next which is safeguarded by the Church (the Rule of Faith) until Christ returns in glory (Mt 28:20). Jesus assures his apostles, “And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever” (Jn 14:16). The Greek noun for the English word “forever” is αἰῶνα (aiōna). Jesus, then, is telling his disciples that the Holy Spirit or Paraclete will come to them to “always” abide in his Church throughout the entire Messianic age, viz., from the time of Christ’s ascension into heaven and Pentecost to his glorious return at the end of this age.
The apostle called the Church a “mystery” which meant that, as the kingdom of God in our midst, it could not be understood by reason alone (Eph 5:32). The power to “bind and loose” or interpret divine revelation and define dogma lies with the Universal Magisterium of the world’s bishops in union with the Vicar of Christ. God’s infinite wisdom, which is revealed through His unwritten and written word, is a hidden mystery for all ages that can be made known more fully and with absolute certainty over the passage of time only through the magisterial teaching authority of the one true Church founded by Christ on Peter and the Apostles (Mat 16:15-18; Eph 3:9-10). The Three Pillars of Faith are Scripture, Tradition, and Magisterium. Neither pillar can support the one true faith on its own. Nor can the one true faith be infallibly preserved and transmitted if one of the pillars is removed. The Holy Spirit operates in all three pillars combined since the divine truth isn’t relativistic. Nor is it interminably open for debate. being-catholic.net/2023/01/22/the-word-of-god/

      12 Promises of
      THE SACRED HEAD,
given to Teresa Helena Higginson of England, by
      Our Lord Jesus Christ,
      to be specially adored as
      The Seat of Divine Wisdom.
      (1880 - 1883)
Our Lord told her that "the sufferings of His body are but like a drop in the ocean compared with what His Soul endured".
Imprimatur: Edm. Can. Surmont, V.G.: England, September 2, 1926
"Anyone who shall assist in furthering this Devotion shall be blessed a 1,000 fold; but woe to him that shall reject or go against My wish in this respect, for they shall be scattered in my wrath and shall know their place no more." (June 2, 1880)
Our Lord "would crown and clothe with a peculiar glory all those who further this devotion" to the Sacred Head. "He would clothe with glory before angels and men in the courts of heaven those who clothed Him in glory on earth and would crown them in everlasting bliss." (Sept. 10, 1880)
"We render a great homage to the ever Blessed Trinity by adoring our dear blessed Lord's Sacred Head as the 'Seat of divine wisdom'." (Annunciation 1881)
Our Lord would bless "all who practice or further this devotion in any way." (July 16, 1881)
"Untold blessings are promised to those who shall try to furher our Lord's wishes in spreading the Devotion." (Juni 2, 1880)
"The more we practice devotion to the Sacred Head the more we must see of the working of the Holy Spirit of God in the human soul, and the better we will know and love the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost." (Juni 2, 1880)
The "devotion and love to His Sacred Heart should be bestowed a hundred fold upon those who practice devotion to the Seat of divine Wisdom." (May, 1883)
"Our blessed Lord said that all that He had promised to those who should worthily love and honor His Sacred Head should be poured out upon those who honoured it themselves or were the means of others doing so. Oh Sacred Head, may Thy Wisdom ever guide us, and the sacred tongue ever bless us and plead for mercy and pardon, and may we never hear the curse pronounced against those who shall hinder or despise this Devotion." (June 2, 1880)
"To them that honor Me I will give of my might and I will be their God and they shall be My children and I will place my sign upon their foreheads and My seal upon their lips." (June 2, 1880)
He gave me to understand that this wisdom and Light was the seal that marked the number of His elect and they shall see His Face and His Name shall be on their foreheads. (May 23, 1880)
Our Lord gave her to understand that St. John referred to His Sacred Head of the Seat of Divine Wisdom "in the last two Chapters of Revelations and with this mark were sealed the numbers of His elect." (May 23, 1880)
Our Lord shows her the great blessings and graces he has in store for all who shall further His divine Will to this end. (May 9, 1880)
Information given by Our Lord 1880 - 1883)
"I wish the first Friday after the feast of my Sacred Heart to be set apart as a festive day in honour of my Sacred Head as the Seat of Divine Wisdom, and that public adoration be offered to Me for all the outrages and sins which are continually being committed against Me." "It should be dedicated as a festive day in its honor, and special reparation and atonement be then offered to Him." (Juni 2, 1880)
"The Sacred Head was in a special manner the dwelling place of the Holy Ghost." Our Lord "wished the great mystery of the Incarnation to be made very clear (or taught very carefully) to the children." (Whitsuntide 1881)
Our Lord impressed upon her - His Soul is not known, His Soul is not loved, and tells me not, by actual words." (Juni 1883)
"Our Blessed Lord wishes His Sacred Head to receive special adoration." (Aug. 17, 1882)
"Those who shall try by words or means to hinder or reject it, shall be as glass that is cast down, or as an egg that is thrown to the wall, that is that they shall be shattered and become as naught, and shall be dried up and wither as grass on the housetop." (April 9, 1880)
"Even the devotion to the Sacred Heart is incomplete without this devotion to His Sacred Head. (Juni 2, 1880)
"He would wish now to be crowned and acknowledged as the Wisdom of the Father, the true King of Kings." (Juni 15, 1880)
"This morning at holy Mass when the Sacred Host was raised at the elevation, I saw as it were the whole court of heaven in prostrate adoration." (May 27, 1880)
Our dear Blessed Lord wishes His Sacred Head to be honored as the "Shrine of the powers of His holy Soul'. (Nov. 11, 1880)
"Around His Sacred Head shone a light of indescribable brilliancy and beauty: as it were a sun in which sparkled 12 magnificent crystal stones reflecting all the colours of the rainbow." (May 23, 1880)
"It will be the great devotion of the church in time to come." (July 16, 1881)
"The crucifix is the Book of books and to me the Tree of Life and contains never ending volumes." (June, 1880)
"It makes me tremble with terror at the dread punishments He has in store for all who shall hinder, or try to hinder the furtherance of this heavenly devotion, for their jaws He says shall be locked as were those of the lions in the den into which Daniel was cast, they shall be shattered and become as naught." (May 9, 1880)
The Sacred Head is the shrine of the powers of the Soul. "The Head is also the center of all the senses of the body, and that this devotion is the completion, not only of the devotion of the Sacred Heart, but the crowning and perfection of all devotions; and he showed me how the adorable Trinity at His baptism revealed to the world this special devotion for His Sacred Humanitiy is the tabernacle of the thrice Holy Trinity; and that St. John has specially spoken of this devotion for the Most High revealed to him that he should be thus worshipped before the end of the world." (April 9, 1880)
      Prayers of Teresa Helena Higginson
"Oh Wisdom of the Sacred Head guide us in all our ways."
"May the wisdom of the Sacred Head guide us in all our ways and the love of the Sacred Heart consume us with its fire."
Blessed be the most holy and undivided Trinity now and forever. Amen."
3 Glory Be's in honor of the Divine Will, Memory, and Understanding.
"O Seat of divine Wisdom, and guiding power which regulates and governs all the motions and love of the Sacred Heart may all minds know Thee, and all hearts love, all tongues praise Thee now and forever."
"O Mary and Joseph, all ye choirs of angels and gleaming rows of saints, raise now your minds, hearts and hands to the adorable Trinity and beg of the Holy of holies to look on those warm red drops of priceless worth, the Precious blood of Jesus which have obeyed the order of His divine wisdom and Love He has shown towards His creatures to arise and spread this light over the whole face of the earth."
Imprimatur, Jacobus Canonicus, Carr -- Pro Epo Liverpolitano

Praying to Mary is not in the Bible, the rosary, the indulgence. Mary has nothing to do bcoz she's just a human. Even angels told men not to bow down to them to be careful not to do that to anyone. And the indulgence w/c contradicts the true faith in God. Why pay money to the church/priest for the salvation of one's soul? There has nothing to do to save the person
on doing that unless he purify himself thru Christ when he was still alive. What's the sense of Christ on that indulgence? Purification should be done while a person is still alive, not when he died. That'sa false hope to everyone. Pls clarify and investigate EVERYTHING first. Yes catholic is the mother church where the bible compiled but lots of different doctrines and traditions added generations by generations that contradicts the Bible. We are now living in new testament, therefore live in the teachings of Christ.

My Protestant church is older than the ones I worried about. It never in a million years occurred to me that the Catholic Church would hold the truth, & that’s not because I was anti-Catholic. I’ve heard the same thing from almost every other convert on “The Journey Home with Marcus Grodi” on EWTN & on youtube videos as well. It’s so common that I feel it’s a metaphysical blindness. I have been disgusted with people who say that Jews & Catholics don’t worship our God, that Catholics aren’t Christians since a young age. I knew nothing about either group except first there were Jews, then Catholics, then Protestants so I knew we were in the same religious family. Even with that knowledge & kind of obsession of being annoyed at the people slandering Jews & Catholics, it I’m stunned that it never occurred that the Catholic Church is the true church. I’m a lifelong insomniac so I think that gives me more time to think about things like that.
I think we really need a written prayer for Christians & non-Christians to see the true church, with some appropriate Bible verses. I don’t think I have enough knowledge to write it at this point. I’m putting the idea out here to be passed around until it gets to the correct person to write that prayer.

      Here's something scriptural from Protestants:
Blasphemous titles claimed for the pope have been embellished and enlarged over the centuries. But a few of these boastful claims appear in an ecclesiastical (Roman Catholic) dictionary, by Lucius Ferraris, entitled _Prompta Bibliotheca Canonica,_ Vol. VI, pgs. 438, 442, article "Pope." _The Catholic Encyclopedia,_ 1913 edition, Vol. VI, p. 48, speaks of this book as "a veritable encyclopedia of religious knowledge," and "a precious mine of information."
"The pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God, and the vicar of God."
"The pope is of such lofty and supreme dignity that, properly speaking, he has not been established in any rank of dignity, but rather has been placed upon the very summit of all ranks of dignities. . . ."
"He is likewise the divine monarch and supreme emperor and king of kings."
"Hence the pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions."
"So that if it were possible that the angels might err in the faith, or might think contrary to the faith, they could be judged and excommunicated by the pope."
"The pope is as it were God on earth, sole sovereign of the faithful of Christ, chief king of kings, having plenitude of power, to whom has been entrusted by the omnipotent God direction not only of the earthly but also of the heavenly kingdom."
"The pope can modify divine law, since his power is not of man but of God."

"I am all in all and *above all,* so that God, Himself and I, the Vicar of God, have but one consistory, and I am able to do ALMOST ALL THAT GOD CAN DO . . . What therefore, can you make of me but God?" -Pope Nicholas, quoted in _Antichrist_ by Ian Paisley, pg. 54.
The pope calls himself God, i.e., "Lord God the pope," "another God on earth." "We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty," Pope Leo XIII said in an _Encyclical Letter,_ June 20, 1894. "The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under veil of flesh," the _Catholic National_ said in July 1895. And every priest is an "Alter Christus," Another Christ. So every priest is Jesus. Plus, during the Mass the priest transubstantiates the bread into the literal, "real presence" of Christ. In other words, man creates God. "He is the creator of his Creator." _-The Dignity and Duties of the Priest_ by Liguori, Ch. 1, Part IV. How is any of this _not_ blasphemy?!
Christianity teaches that the pope is the Antichrist. The proud pontiff's official title is Vicar of Christ, meaning "in the place of Christ." Vicar of Christ translated into Greek is Antichristos, in English Antichrist, also meaning "in the place of Christ." Vicar of Christ and Antichrist are the exact same word in two different languages. Vicar of Christ in Latin is Vicarius Filii Dei, meaning Vicar of the Son of God, or Vicar of Christ. VICARIVS FILII DEI. Add up the 11 Roman numerals and you get 666. 2 And _the _*_dragon (Satan)_*_ gave him (the beast) his power, and his seat,_ and great authority.
4 And _they worshipped the _*_dragon_*_ which gave power unto the beast:_ and they worshipped the beast . . .
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies . . .
6 And he opened his mouth in *blasphemy against God,* to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, *_Come out of her,_** my people,* that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Rev. 18:4, 5.

@Adam Yes I hear that point a lot from Catholics. But it has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. The Bible clearly talks about there being a Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And Trinity is a word we use to describe it because there are 3. That makes perfect, logical sense. Praying to Mary and/or Saints is Nowhere to be found in the Bible and the Bible actually teaches against that. Mary was Not a Virgin her whole life. Jesus had brothers and sisters that were born by Joseph and Mary having sex. This is clear in the Bible and in other writings. Catholicism decides she was always a Virgin even though it's not true. All throughout the Bible it says we are saved by faith or belief and not by works. Catholicism says we are saved by works. The Bible teaches against vain repetitive prayers. Catholics are all about them. I could go on and on and on and you will not even acknowledge anything I say. Catholics don't read the Bible. At least most don't. And if you would just take some time to read it, you will see it's not a catholic book. It's like Catholics said let's make a religion that does the exact opposite of what the Bible teaches and still call it Christianity. It's ridiculous. Purgatory is completely made up. It is not in the Bible. It is not hinted at. Never. Not even once. The word is not in the Bible and the idea is not in the Bible. The idea of the Pope is completely made up and I believe every single Pope in history is burning in hell right now. The idea of a Pope or one single guy running the whole show and being like God on earth is not in the Bible. If you want to have a debate let's talk about specifics. Can you address anything specific thing I have said in any of my comments or is that your only answer just to say "well trinity"?

The word catholic just means "universal"
The new testament doesn't use the word catholic, they just use "church" but when different heretical groups started to sprout up like the gnostics, the early Christians used the word "catholic" to specify themselves over the heretical churches. So whenever the Bible mentions "church" they are referring to what was later specified as "the catholic church" which was the title used as early as 110 AD.
Later in the year 382 it was that same "catholic church" that authoritatively defined the canon of the Bible we use today. For what its worth, that early "catholic" church agrees with the modern Catholic Church on topics like the Eucharist being the literal body of Jesus, praying to the saints, apostolic succession, the clergy, and using images in worship. That's because they're one and the same church, hence, the Bible is a Catholic book.

@@Henry-eh2jk @Henry-eh2jk I already did defend my claims, but I can add even more detail: the earliest use of the word "catholic" in the year 110 was Ignatius of antioch, who was a student of St John the apostle and who was ordained as a bishop by St Peter the apostle.
The year 382 was the year when the Bible canon was set in stone, at the council of Rome headed by Pope Damasus.
As for Catholic beliefs that the early church held, by 150 the writings of the early Christian Justin Martyr described the Eucharist explicitly as the literal body and blood of Jesus, we have an example of prayers to the Virgin Mary as early as the 250s, the oldest one found on Greek papyrus reads "Beneath thy compassion, we take refuge, O Mother of God: do not despise our petitions in time of trouble, but rescue us from dangers, only pure one, only blessed one" and Infant baptism was the standard practice also by that time. I also already mentioned that the clergy was an established practice since the beginning (like, 30-60s AD) as per St Peter ordaining St Ignatius and also the ordination of Matthias in the book of Acts. Call me a lair but these are all historically verifiable facts that you can easily look up. The conclusion I draw from them is that the early church and the Catholic church are one and the same.

One day while driving and thinking about all this, I became overwhelmed and had to pull off the road just sobbing and begging God to show me the way to the "right faith"...
A month or so later my husband says to me that he wants us to re-marry in the Catholic Church. I blew it off, but he was persistant. So, I promised him I'd learn first and get back to him on that.
I read a book "This is the Faith" and I was quite surprised. This may have been what I begged God for... so I enrolled in RCIA. YES, this is what God showed me... the "right faith" and I know it deep within my soul.
The following Easter I became a Catholic, and so did both of my adult children, and our marriage vows renewed and were blessed in the Church.

      Tuesday, June 10th, 2014 @ 12:05
My dearly beloved daughter, people may ask why is it important that the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass be retained at all costs? The Mass is the focal point of My Presence - My True Presence in the world. My Presence brings both Life and Light. It will bring Life to the soul and fill it with a unique Grace. It will bring with it Light - My Light - which is more powerful than the sun. A glimmer of My Light is enough to light up a room that is in darkness. As long as My Holy Eucharist is held in great glory upon the altars of My Churches, there will be life. Without it there will be darkness. When I Am not Present, there is no Light. Without My Light there is nothing but darkness of the soul. No peace. No love. No hope. No Life.
Whatever new rules will be forced upon you in the name of evangelization and modernity, in My Name, know that if My Eucharist is no longer revered, as It should be and as It was meant to be, you can be sure that it will not be long before It will disappear altogether. On the day that this happens there will be a darkness, which will descend upon the Earth. You will not see it, but you will feel it in the cold hearts of men, for by then humanity will have changed. Once My Presence diminishes, the gates of Hell will be opened and the antichrist will take My Place in My Church. It will be he who is not of Me, who will sit on the throne that is rightfully Mine. And it will be before him that My Church will lie prostrate at his feet. That will be the greatest betrayal of Me, your Jesus, since Judas handed Me over to My enemies to be crucified.
It is My Church, which will be persecuted first and those who are weak of faith will pay homage to the beast. It will be those men who will claim to represent My Church - who will crucify Me, once more. When the imposter declares that he is Me, the hours will begin to tick and then with a deafening sound of the skies parting and the peal of thunder, My Return will be made known. The world will then understand the Truth of My Promise to Return to reclaim My Kingdom, finally, and to bring unity to My Church, My True Church - those who remained loyal to Me, through all the trials and tribulations.
Nothing can prevail against My Church, for under My Leadership and direction It will remain impenetrable against the beast and all those traitors who will have betrayed Me for their own gain.
Hear now My Promise. All that I told you would happen will happen. All that I promised you will be fulfilled. All that is Mine is yours. You all belong to Me. Cling to Me for dear life, for without My Protection, you will fall into error and that would break My Heart. Never forsake Me, for he who hates you. I will never forsake you, because I love you too much. I pull you towards Me and still you withdraw. Why? What are you fearful of? Don’t you know you are of Me and that this is a natural birthright? Lean on Me, My beloved followers, for soon you will feel lost and will not know where to turn. And I will be waiting, to bring you My Love and offer you comfort.
Come. Do not fear Me. I come only with love to bring you My Peace.
      My Light brings you sight.
      My Love brings you hope.
      My Heart brings you comfort.
      My Hands heal you.
      My Eyes see you.
      My Wounds draw you.
      My Body feeds you.
      My Pain is yours.
      Your pain is Mine.
      My Mercy will save you.
My Word is your path to My Kingdom.
      Your Jesus

Those are demons (familiar spirits). If I were you, I would run so fast out of there. The Holy Spirit does not appear like that. Maybe, you should read the whole Holy Bible & you will find the truth. If I was there, I would command those demons to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. They hate Jesus Christ because He defeated them when He lived a perfect life & was crucified almost 2000 years ago, April 3, 30 AD Gregorian calendar / April 5, 30 AD Julian Calendar / Nisan 14, 3790 Hebrew calendar.

Orthodox and catholic Church were united until 1054 where the catholic Church added to the creed… so the Bible was created by the ancient church which included the Orthodox Christians. So claiming it’s only catholic is being disingenuous. The protestant Church broke away from the catholics… so they are twice removed.

Your not born Catholic. Your born as a child and because of your family and there association with the church your connection is with them.
You did not decide this because you where a child and followed the custom of infant baptism at the ripe old age of 2-3 months! Jesus was not Baptized until he was 33 years old by John the Baptist ( yes check your Bible for this)
That’s when HE dedicated his life to his father work. To preach, teach and spread the word of the gospel about Gods Kingdom. We become baptized when we understand that we want to follow Jesus and live a life like his. We then make a serious confession of our sins and become baptized with water and his spirit. We become born again like the scriptures says In Matthew
When we are baptized, we follow the pattern set by the Savior, who was baptized by immersion in the river Jordan (see Matthew 3:13-17). Heavenly Father desires for each of His children to be cleansed of their sins so that they may live with Him again.
Being born into a Catholic family and being baptized at 3 months old does not make one a follower of Jesus Christ it’s not scriptural.

The word church comes from the Greek word (ekklesia), assembly in English, and the term “Kata Holes” means “all throughout” in Greek. Catholic Church or Assembly of Catholics is found in the BOOK OF ACTS 9:31 ; 5:11 ; 15:22 - EKKLESIA KATH OLES ; HOLEN TEN EKKLESIAN ; HOLE TE EKKLESIA ! Even Apostle Paul also refers to the FAITH of the Church as “CATHOLIC” in ROMANS 1:8, where the latter half of the verse is: KATAGGELLETAI EN HOLO TO KOSMO. The “kata” and “holo” part eventually became Catholic.

Kata Holes means "whole", "all throughout" "collective" or "universal". Catholic Church means "universal church" which is described clearly in ACTS 9:31, which is one and in communion with each other (all churches). All early church fathers claimed to be Catholic not protestant. Now can you justify protestantism from Tradition and scripture ? Is sola scriptura in the bible ? Is queen james in the bible ? Can you name one early church father or apostle that started their own cult or sect and claimed to be a protestant ? Even angels told men not to bow down to them to be careful not to do that to anyone. And the indulgence w/c contradicts the true faith in God. Why pay money to the church/priest for the salvation of one's soul? There has nothing to do to save the person
on doing that unless he purify himself thru Christ when he was still alive. What's the sense of Christ on that indulgence? Purification should be done while a person is still alive, not when he died. That'sa false hope to everyone. Pls clarify and investigate EVERYTHING first. He was a Nicene/Theotokos (trinity tradition from the meeting in Turkey), influenced secularly by Plato, Aristotle and Origen plilosophies.
IOW the modern familiar Bible is of Egyptian and Greek church scholarship in the 4th century, not that of what would become the Roman Rite, that would splinter off in a schism from the Orthodox church of the East in later centuries.
Therefore the lineage is catholic but not Roman Catholic directly anymore than the lineage of Protestants that schisimed from the Roman Papal Church Rite in the 1500s. All draw from scholarship of the Coptics and Greeks in the early churches trying to stabilize the theology taught in hundreds of dispersed churches.

@@dougvb2096 You are reworking what Protestantism has done for 500 years: telling partial facts. The writings were early but they did not constitute a single body, a canon of Scripture. It was the Catholic Church that gave us our Bible. There was no Bible until AD 367, when St. Athanasius of Alexandria published for the first time the definitive list, including all 27 books that we know today as the New Testament. These are the ones, he said; "let no one add to them or take anything away from them." (Luther missed that.) St. Athanasius's canon was accepted with the approval of the Church. In AD 382, it was adopted by Pope St. Damasus I in the "Decretal of Gelasius" and was confirmed by every subsequent council that took up the question of the official canon. Finally, in AD 419, Christian scholars from all over the world came together at the Second Council of Carthage and again confirmed the canon: 46 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books would form the official canon of the Catholic Church, totaling today the significant number of 73 books of Sacred Scripture. Pope Boniface adopted this approved canon officially by Papal decree. “That your eyes might be opened to God's truth and be saved.” No, it would not be the Catholic Church that would oppose the Bible. Until we had an official Bible, we had Sacred Tradition, the deposit of faith, as described by Saint Paul in 1 Timothy 3:15: “…if I am delayed, you will know how people are to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.” We read in Jn. 21:25: “... many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book.” Not written but preserved in the deposit of faith, the Church, in Church tradition. There could be no Sola Scriptura from the outset of Christianity when the books of the New Testament were not made authoritative until between the 2nd and 4th centuries?

Other denominations were started at least 1500 years later (with the exception of orthodox). The Bible was put together by Catholics and the Catholic Church decided which books would go in the Bible…well until 1500 years later when Martin Luther decided to create a Kings James Bible by removing 7 original books. I highly suggest watching this CZcams video that we’re commenting on..
The Old Testament is Jewish. The New Testament is when Jesus Christ came to spread the good news and hence Christianity was born.

@@MelaniesManicures Actually, katholikó in Greek translates "universal" not "universal Christianity" The early use of the word universal was in the sense of an adjective meaning "affecting, or done by all people or things in the world or in a particular group; " It was not used in the sense of a noun as the Catholic church with a pope etc. for a long, long time The Catholic church took time to establish bringing in pagan rituals and Roman gods renaming them with that of early saints and I doubt anyone can put a date on its exact start, but it was hundreds of years after Christ. It reached power after the fall of Rome. The book was written by 99% Jews. Not one "dot" of the bible was written by a catholic. Jews were the first Christians with some gentiles mixed in.
You are correct that Christ came and established Christianity, not Catholicism.
You should also know that many of Ignatius writing to be forged but there is one thing about his writings and that is no mention of a pope, which makes sense as there was none.
Lastly if you read Ignatius writing is use of "universal" is in the sense of an adjective and not referring to the hierarchy of the Catholic church.

We are now living in new testament, therefore live in the teachings of Christ alone that's why it is very important to read also not just listening to the tchings of leaders

@جن كلابي Jesus did not found 33,000 mini churches. The one true church in this age is his body and how does one become a part of his body (his flesh and bones)? Christianity is divided because many people abandoned the teachings of Paul whom God chose to be the apostle of the gentile. A man is saved, becomes God's child, fellow heir with Christ, or become part of the the body of Christ if he trusts in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 cor 15:1-4)
      1. Jesus respected his earthly parents but when he reached the age of preaching, he focused on preaching / teaching to the Jews. He said that people who does his father's will is the same as his siblings or mother.
      2. People think Jesus called Peter Rock when he gave him the "keys". It's a translation problem. Jesus said, thou art Peter (Greek Petra: small stone, pebble) and on this rock (Petros: rock, large rock, the old testament prophets called God a rock, therefore Christ was talking about himself) I build my church... Whatever he bounded or loosed on earth depended on whether the lost would accept his gospel or not. If they accepted, they were bound in heaven, if they didn't, they were lost.
      3. Whether Fatima happened or not, do we overlook what God's word has said if an angel preaches contrary to it? Look at the promises again. It greatly emphasizes that all who pray the rosary or are right with her will receive special graces and shall not perish. Is this what the scriptures teach us? What about John 3:16? The scriptures elevate the trinity (God the father, son and holy ghost) and only they are worthy of glory and they were the ones who were a 100% involved in the salvation of mankind.

"The pope can modify divine law, since his power is not of man but of God."

.... 🔴 QUESTION: Will there be a second chance for salvation after death?
      *******************************
🔴 ANSWER: While the idea of a second chance for salvation is appealing, the Bible is clear that death is the end of all chances. Hebrews 9:27 tells us that we die, and then face judgment. So, as long as a person is alive, he has a second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. chance to accept Lord Jesus Christ and be saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31). Once a person dies, there are no more chances.
      -----
🔴 The Apostle John when he saw the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven:
      ● Revelation 1
      17. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I Am the first and the last:
      18. I Am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I Am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the KEYS of Hell and of death.
      -----
🔴 If ever someone should have repented when given a second chance to see clearly the truth, it was the rich man. But although he was in torment in Hell fire, he only asked that Abraham send Lazarus back to earth to warn his brothers so they didn’t have to suffer the same fate. There was no repentance in his heart, only regret for where he found himself. Abraham’s answer says it all: “And he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:31). Here we see that the witness of the Scriptures is sufficient for salvation for those who believe it, and no other revelation will bring about salvation to those who do not. No second, third, or fourth chances would be enough to turn the heart of stone into a heart of flesh.
🔴 What about those who do not believe? Wouldn’t they repent and believe if they were given a second chance? The answer is no, they would not because their hearts are not changed simply because they die. Their hearts and minds “are at enmity” against God and won’t accept Him even when they see Him face to face. This is evidenced clearly in the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31.
✸ Moreover and of big importance against the deceptive teachings of Satan who deceives people by those he possesses: Abraham tells the rich man that it is impossible for anyone there to come to Heaven from the torments of fire or vice versa. (Luke 16:26)
If someone is in the home of the dead, in torment, waiting for judgment, will not enter to Heaven! It's impossible!
If someone tells you otherwise, you will not receive the teaching because they will deceive you.
🔴 To understand what happens to nonbelievers after they die, we go to Revelation 20:11-15 which describes the Great White Throne judgment and the Lord Jesus is the Judge of mankind John 5:22 "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son".
🔴 Here takes place the opening of the books and “the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” The books contain all the thoughts and deeds of those being judged, and we know from Romans 3:20 that “by the works of the Law is no flesh justified.” Therefore, all who are judged by their works and thoughts are condemned to Hell. Believers in Christ, on the other hand, are not judged by the books of works, but their names are found written in another book-the “Lamb’s Book of Life” (Revelation 21:27). These are the ones who have believed on the Lord Jesus, and they alone will be allowed to enter heaven.
🔴 The key to understanding this is the Lamb’s Book of Life. Anyone whose name is written in this book was “saved before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4) by God’s sovereign saving grace to be part of His Son’s bride, the church of Jesus Christ. These people need no “second chance” at salvation because their salvation has been secured by Christ. He chose us, He saved us, and He will keep us saved. Nothing can separate us from Christ (Romans 8:39). Those for whom He died will be saved because Lord Jesus will see to it. He declared “all that the Father has given Me will come to Me” (John 6:37), and “I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand” (John 10:28). For believers, there is no need for a second chance because the first chance is sufficient.
🔴 In Philippians 2:10-11 we have this testimony: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” One day, everyone will bow before Lord Jesus and recognize that He is The Lord and The Savior. At that point, though, it will be too late for salvation. After death, all that remains for the unbeliever is judgment and damnation in Hell fire for eternity (Matthew 25:41, Mark 9: 43-44, 2-Peter 3:7, Revelation 20:14-15, Revelation 21:8).
That is why we must trust in Lord Jesus Christ in this life. That is why we must follow the Lord Jesus Christ!
