CRASH ! FAILURE IS THE FASTEST WAY TO LEARN ! FPV formation flying COLLISION and CRASH LANDING
We think caused by the lead plane (me) having more flap on 1st stage flaps than the chase plane (Jason). Coming in for a slow pass and my flap setting slowed me down quicker and chase plane collided. His prop pierced my right elevator. Fortunately I managed to maintain level flight with left aileron and went full power to keep the nose up and reduce the speed of descent. We both landed softly in the crop. Minor damage was repaired in 5 minutes and we flew 3 times later that day.

At first I thought the rear plane had shaved off the tail of the front one. But this is much better, even unbelievable.

His prop slashed through my top rudder hinge and then stabbed through the right elevator. Stay lodged in it until we retrieved them and pulled them apart !

Great video. In fact it was just bad luck and an excellent close formation landing. Amazing how gently the duo came down!!
