Kisir salad is, in essence, the Turkish version of the famous Lebanese Tabouleh salad, which you can see here • Salata tabbouleh, rete...
If you do a Google search, you will see all kinds of Kisir varieties, many are regional variants. Many, not surprisingly, are almost identical to Tabouleh salad, I found this version and chose it precisely because it is quite different from Tabouleh. If you wish, you can add other ingredients, basically raw vegetables such as tomatoes or cucumbers.
I have something to specify about bulgur: you can cook it both by soaking (as I did in this clip) and by boiling (as in the Tabouleh recipe). Of course, I could have boiled it from the start, but I was curious to see how long it takes the bulgur to soften. And it took almost two hours to be fixed as we wanted - that is, nitel al dente. I must specify that it is also important what type of bulgur you use. There are smaller bulgur which will probably soften more easily, but my bulgur is a large grain so it will take a little longer. Finally, choose boiling or soaking depending on how much time you have. You can also soak the bulgur the night before. But if you are hungry and want the recipe quickly, then boil the bulgur, it takes a maximum of 20 minutes - check the manufacturer's oil for the recommended cooking time.
