This game really was and still is one of the best games ever made with not only an amazing story, but some of the best graphics in any game out there

I just finished a second playthrough of this game. I took my time on the second go around. Played honorably, of course, and finished all the side quests in each chapter. I thought I loved Arthur before, but with the side quests it was so much deeper and fulfilling. By the end, I was crying for his loss again.
PLS do side quests... they explain how Arthur changed after everything went down and they are so good.
I agree the game’s story really loses a lot if you don’t do side quests and have low honor

I play this everyday almost. Especially since covid hit. I just started the story mode 2 weeks ago and this time around I'm exploring everything! As much as I can with Arthur. Everytime i finish a rdr2 playthrough i immediately start another lol for a couple years now. You would be amazed how each one sorta has its own feel. Odd new things i find. New dialog i discover in towns etc. no other game is as good

When I got back into playing video games again in 2019 this was one of the first games I played. I hadn't had a Playstation or anything in years. I was completely blown away by this game. Now I'm a ps5 owner and the games coming out keep getting better and better.

@MrFunkFuzz79 RDR2 is a prequel. RDR2 takes place in 1899 and RDR1 takes place in 1904. Other than small references and foreshadowings to RDR1, you won't miss much. In fact, the story would probably flow much better for you if you play RDR2 and then RDR1.

I cried at the end like a baby, but this game holds a special place in my heart, it was so incredible to play, Arthur really touched my heart and at the end I was devastated, I spent an incredible amount of time playing and the graphics were impeccable, the fishing, it was 100% 5/5, I will play this again when I’m done healing from the first time I played lol

As much as I absolutely love this game and it's one of my favourites of all time, I would never willingly go through that shit more than once 😂 I am not emotionally ready for that ever again. Think I spent a full week just sulking after I finished it.
I started it like 2 weeks ago. I yesterday, Thursday, witnessed the death of Hosea and Lenny. I got a bit emotional after that messy bank heist… but now I have escaped the Guarma Island. I’ve witnessed the death of Colm now too, which made me happy he died.

@@PogSockBockDog I think it has to do with the loss of arthur and missing him, just wanting to see him again. just starting the game all over again because not only is the gameplay just fun, but mostly because once you get in the epilogue you realize must how much you miss arthur & everything about him.

I know rdr2 is just a game but it actually taught me a few life lessons it’s crazy how good rockstar is at what they do. The red dead series will forever be my favourite I will play these games over and over and get still find more and more secrets
I hope RDR2 gets some sort of "next-gen" update for PS5 and Series X cuz I definitely want to replay it.
Thats why i dont really want to replay it yet. Rockstar might release a definitive edition before this year ended.
@Dan Robbo I personally think RDR2 > GTAV, but only comparing story. Loved both. Hopefully even a minor updating letting the frames go above 30 on consoles.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up for any type of rerelease of this game in any form. Probably cause it still a little too soon. As well as rockstar doesn’t do remasters of any kind until about 10 or so years later
@@reasons2live yeah i understand but take two themselve have announce that 12 games would be released from this year to the end of 2022. Plus they said that they will "visit" the old games. So its either Bully 2 or RDR remaster. I sure hope Rockstar doesnt finesse us with Midnight Club lmao

Something you could do the second time playing the game is just explore the world; hidden caves, easter eggs and just parts of the world that haven't been seen before, because the first time playing the game, you had to stick to a story, otherwise gameplay would be like 200 hours long. So prioritising just EXPLORING the world spontaneously. Anyone agree?

Yeah but hollow doesn't really do that because he's recording. And personally, I watch playthroughs for the story, not the exploration because if I ever get to play said game, I'd like to experience it myself.

There are absolutely no words for this game!! Literally from the opening scene I felt like I was watching a movie tbh. The gameplay is amazing mixed with 1800s layout it was well done and you could spend hours upon hours in the story alone

I always come back over and over again 3 years ago this game is still the greatest storytelling and a masterpiece I’ve personally played this game over 20 times and still found new things
I have the first game on ps3 and just replayed it this past week. A first note is that the graphics for it being 10+ years old are still good. It was the first game of cowboys and the west I could actually stand because it wasn’t cliche and had originality. I’m so excited for this play through now 😍
