David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust - Dallas 1978 - remaster / upgrade

- 'Ziggy Stardust' performed live at the Convention Center Arena, Dallas on April 10 1978.
This clip appeared on a tribute show to Bowie earlier this year. The resolution and detail was better than I had seen previously, but the sound was muddy and the whole thing was running too fast. I have slowed it to the correct speed and synched it with the best available soundboard audio of the song. I also graded it to remove a yellow/ brown tint and cropped out channel logos etc.
So this is probably the best that this footage has looked and sounded so far.
It can also be seen here: (possibly the video quality is better)

Bowie, in an interview said, he could have kept Ziggy going for much longer. I feel he was brave to move on as an artist and to kill Ziggy. This demonstrates true art from him, and his passion to contribute to art. Thank you David for giving so much! Love you forever!
This is the best live performance I've ever heard
Well, take a look at the Glastonbury version then ...
1978

Yes mate 10/10
Thanks Nacho. Great to hear that from you especially. Looking forward to your forthcoming project : )
Working on it, as we speak
This look makes me think of Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence.
陈莹 That was a bad ending for Bowie' s character :o
Simply fabulous, overwhelming, a masterpiece born from the hand of a great master. Thanks Nacho!
David we love you forever ★
greatest artist ever,
the best,
i took his loss very hard
That drummer, though! Dennis Davis. Amazing.
This was his last great concert tour as an artist before he sold out in the eighties, but lord was he amazing. So masterful, so brilliant. Beautiful and very very clean. This is my favorite Bowie. Thanks.
I was lucky enough to see the Diamond Dogs,Plastic Soul and Isolar tours. The Heroes tour lacked the electricity of the previous three.
i think "sold out" is wrong and unfair. The 1983 tour only started out as reltively small gigs, customer demand turned it into what it was.
I agree though that 70's Bowie was quite apart from anything else.
I disagree. Lets dance tour was fabulous, and Bowie never song better that in that tour.......More comercial? Yes, but with class and style, and his voice never sound so good......2004 tour also was incredíble
Really finding it hard to think of new ways to say how great these vids are. You, my friend, are a star!

He was on his way back to good health for the first time in almost 10 years, Heather. This was just after Heroes.
Thanks for sharing
Semplicemente fantastico!
Perfect synch! ♡
Love this version.
PERFECTION
Wonderful job, Suss!
You did a good job. Looks a little staticy but you did a great job! The static is not your fault, it's just old. Looks great for its age and sounds good! I have my phone up all the way and it sounds great! Props to you for doing a fantastic job! 😀

He was hot here.
He actually had biceps
Ziggy
It is good, but it needs more Ronson.
Bowies voice changed !
someone tell me why
Aging, smoking, stylistic choice. This was 6 years after the studio version was recorded, and he had gone through a 2-year period of performing in a soul/funk baritone style. Replicating the high nasal technique that defined the Ziggy Stardust era was dependent on adjusting to how he remembered doing it. This was an impression of his younger self here, in a sense.
Top notch vocals here, much better than the album.
grande, grande ,grande
