Takes me back to simple, sweet escape of late
As I wend my way through this block of PM episodes I truly like these the most out of all versions, especially because of the constant turnover of part time panelists. I'm glad Betty corrected gene on the difference between 🙊 and ape

No. There is a definite difference. I like the early CBS daytime shows best. They were less edited and you got to see and hear what the celebrities were doing. PM was very heavily edited. Even more so than the later daytime CBS shows.

Patently false. He might give a good answer as 2nd or 3rd if it’s an easy one with a million possibilities or if the 1st and/or 2nd give some wildly out-dated or esoteric answer (as Fannie Flagg and Charles Nelson Reilly are wont to do-they are my faves and I freely admit they both deer-in-headlights about the super match pretty frequently). The only one who consistently gives a decent 3rd choice is Brett Somers, often helping others come up with their 3rd choice response. Betty White, Nipsey Russell, Patti Deutsch, and Gary Burghoff are also usually pretty reliable as a 3rd choice provider.
Like… remember Richard’s infamous 3rd choice trench hand? Trench foot and trench warfare are real things he could’ve said but he couldn’t think of them. He’s definitely good at making a bad answer entertaining, but he’s not used to being last and not good at it!

Gene was wrong with his racist/sexiest jokes. Maybe it was the zeitgeist, but no way did that retired military officer enjoy the jab about “which army were you in”, etc. It just feels icky sometimes hearing what comes out of Gene’s mouth.
That was absolutely tasteless.
That's what I hear when I watch these old episodes. The thing's people said other people dealt with, made the adjustments to their lives in whatever way they needed to. Now people aren't happy if they aren't whinning about their Hurt Feelings. I really enjoy the uncut Honesty of these episodes ! Thanks So Much !

Yes, more Gene Rayburn. I'm missing tuning into this channel every day. Wish you'd start over from the beginning and get back to the good shows. At least doing 2x a day do one of each or something. The 90s sucked; the host is just plain mean.

@@SkyeFarmAngel Accidental airing maybe? GSN aired a few fur episodes of Price when they had it by accident many years ago. Maybe BUZZR did the same here? Good to see a previously lost episode air no matter what though. Means we'd be that much closer to having a fully complete set of shows (ie: no gaps of any kind along all 3 concurrent runs) to watch through.
Rayburn was a goof, scene chewer and he made me cringe. Brett Somers was obnoxious, unfunny and wouldn't shut up. Dawson looked sleazy. Hated the show.
