I agree... there is a difference in making a whole vlog featuring animals and children which some do to excess and another to include snippets of them as they are part of vlogging life. I never trust anyone who doesn't like animals 😊
One of my most favourite CZcams channels is The Moons. They are the very very best of humankind. They are a British family, live in France and run a charity saving ex elite sport horses in their later years, and also have loads of other rescue animals. Can’t recommend them highly enough, they are magic ❤

Paint tin idea: I paint the top lid of the tin with the colour and write on it what room etc. Also paint an A4 piece of paper with the colour, then write on it all the paint details:room, colour, tint, ratio etc and put it in a clear display book. You will never lose a colour again. (The trims and ceiling colours too)

I am so glad for the way you have accessible and affordable medical care for both you and your animals. I am so disappointed in Canada where vet care has become 'big business.' Many are no longer able to afford to have a pet due to the skyrocketing costs of basic care. let alone emergencies which can set you back with thousands in debt.
Like most viewers, I am so glad that you feature your animals often! They are wonderful and you are wonderful for the love and care that you give them.
Here in the US where we live, small Vets are being bought out by “chain” companies, and are becoming very expensive.
@@bettychandler341 Yes, that is sadly exactly the way Canada has followed. It is truly upsetting to me because in the last half year I spent thousands of dollars being led to believe that I could help save the life of my beloved little dog by continuous procedures which were in large part just money making measures. In the end, I would do whatever I could for my dearest little dog, but the 'if money is no option' approach was manipulative and hurtful, and in the end could not save her inherent congenital liver condition.
@@ellebelle8515 I’m so sorry to hear this. Here in America it’s. More expensive than human care. Some are wonderful but others are greedy. I had taken one of my cats to a wonderful one. I was so upset I offered to pay whatever was needed but she told me that she had a cancer and to take her home and just give her extra loving since she wasn’t in pain, no charge for that visit. We knew when it was time and she kindly put her down .

Good reuse of pallets. Better than having them end up in the dump. Pallets in the US are often just pine but I think the EU pallets are oak or some other hardwood, Treasure.
The footage of the various animals is always a highlight of your videos. Who doesn't love to watch a cat climbing a ladder.

All day I thought it was Friday until my son called for our weekly FaceTime and set me straight. 😮 I laughed when I saw your collection of paint cans because I finally took my collection of full paint and stain cans to the Habitat ReStore this afternoon. I now need to add Kitty litter to the partial cans of paint, let them dry out and then they go into the landfill. That makes me cringe but no one in town will take them 🤨 or recycle them. Of course, it chose late this afternoon to rain for the first time in two months so those cans remain in my way in the garage. The kitty litter step must be outdoors due to the paint fumes. That drone footage of the tree tops just mesmerized me! Lovely as is the rest of your property. Keep showing your animals, please! The orange cat climbing the ladder deserves to be in a cat food ad. Lastly, thank you for the list of vlogs, none of which I have ever watched. Finally, something to replace watching the shenanigans going on daily at Venice and Santa Monica beaches. 🎉

On your next Q & A i am just dying to know what your social world is like as expats in France???? As a mom i am guessing that there is a built in network of your children’s school friends parents but it’s also easier to establish those friendships when the kids are younger. I would love it if you would talk about what it’s like socially to move to France!

My husband has that same ❤color in New Balance 6 yrs ago?? I have been suggesting he wear the new green/ white (he chose) that came last summer to replace the well worn bronze. “These are still good, comfortable and I-get compliments on them “. He is 81…If & when he gets around to wearing the green, they will most likely last his life time😅

I’m Australian but we love all things French, travel a lot, garden, cook and I just love being able to gain such insights into how you live in France. Endlessly fascinating! (And I’m always shocked by the exorbitant vet bills in the US on some dog rescue instagram accounts I follow where they’re so happy they were able to raise several thousands of dollars to cover the resetting of a dogs leg or something similar.)

Can you imagine being a bird and flying over your property? Well I can because I watch those drone shots and love them all! You two are just a riot. So much patience and laughing. We have done a lot of work on several homes over the years, not to the extent that you do, but now there is not a lot of patience. Haha.

We were keeping a notebook of paint colors and we write it on top of the cans -we save the paint can lids when they are emptied so we can get new paint made from the label.

Love the different greens of your woodland via the drone footage. Amanda, you could use these colours for interior design inspiration 🌲

A tip. Don’t put the plastic on the floor while painting. It easily tears and when you spill paint it stays on top and you can step in it and dragg all the paint around. Invest in painting carpet. Its non slip, waterproof and the paint will soak in the carpet.
