Size of the Jiva(the "I" we refer to) is infinitesimal, and it is a part of God(Ocean of divine happiness)...... As a result, we keep on trying to find pleasure to somehow satiate ourselves, but the finite material pleasure which we get through contact of material objects of senses with our senses, never satiates us, but keeps on increasing our greed and lust..... Until we reject the object after getting bored from it like a child spits a chewing gum......

What a captivating story of King Janak! It resonates with the experiences of ordinary people in the world who also encounter intense dreams. Just like Janak, we too can be shaken by dreams that leave us questioning many things, often leading to confusion. However, Astavakra profound understanding of the self and his way of explaining it to Janak was on another level altogether.
Indeed, Ashtavakra's reply suggests that there is no need for us to grieve over past events, whether they were dreams or reality. Continuing to dwell on the past only extends our suffering.

Deep and invaluable knowledge tells us that under maya we struggle with name, fame, profession, and so on. We describe ourselves with these tags, but the truth is we are souls, tiny parts of God. We are moving through the cycle of life and death in different species, thinking that we are the body. Awake and know the truth that we are souls. Give the name and form of God to come out of this cycle.

Such a mind blowing video about the soul or Spirit. Soul, our true self is the eternal unchanging entity through which our body, mind and intellect derive consciousness. We are not the body, because after death, the body becomes insentient, body is made of matter, and is temporary. The near-death-experience story of Ajamil from the Puranas is enlightening.
