Describing the V160 shifter, tripod, and yoke bushing upgrade from Titan. Turns the stock 93-95 (short OEM) shifter into a very nice feeling unit. Much more enjoyable and consistent. I also installed a billet aluminum reverse collar. The knob is a JD customs red carbon fiber shift ball with a bronze bushing to keep it clear from the lockout collar.
The 93-95 V160 shifter is much shorter than the 96+ shifters From what I understand the W58 also has a tripod with upgradeable bushings and shifter yoke.
The reverse lockout had me stumped but I worked through it by adjusting it to accommodate a tighter throw by bending the Dewla lockout plate. It's required for this upgrade in my opinion, the stock one is unmodifiable and prevents 5/6 from engaging correctly. Now it's TOIGHT!

When driving, does it feel less notchy / crunchy when shifting?

yes it improved the tolerances for going into 1st and 5th. would have trouble going in before, and also would crunch a lot. still have to be careful because it's an old transmission but it's improved a lot.
