Love the redesign of the first one but as Mart said hilariously that you read the "F" first...but I won't lie tho, visually, it looks amazing. His process in Photoshop is awesome...I'm still more of a pencil and paper guy.
It's so enthralling to watch someone create art/design! The flow of ideas, iteration upon iteration, going down one rabbit hole after another! Looking forward to more from these 2 dazzling artists! 🙂🎨 Thank you!
This was an amazing video and I loved the process Mart took within photoshop. Loved that you came up with so many variations within your logo design. I love the new version.
I love logo therapy ♥ i dont when i see these videos, i feel more confidence about work and the funny thing is different ideas randomly rounding on my head🎃
Love this as you can start with something already fine but just to see where you can take it. You have to be agile with idea generation and iteration! Talented therapists!
I can't believe that you guys are providing such awesome and super high quality content just for free. Thank you sooooo much for all the efforts you guys are putting in it.
These videos are so amazing but it´s kind of a bittersweet experience cause while you get inspiration and exited about new tools or approach for logo design ... it also shows you how much high level designers are out there doing their thing an i t kind of overwhelms you.
Maybe have the therapists send the vids to the futur before hand so they have total control over everything, minimizing the long lapses in the stream when there's technical difficulties?
@@TheFuturAcademy That's true. I don't mean any disrespect to any of the therapists either. I was just throwing out a suggestion. 🤙🏻 Great episode by the way! I loved the detailed brief of the second logo. It's great seeing the thought process along side the design process.
There's something really free and natural I like about the original mark, but the use of typography in the new version feels much better. The mark for the newer version makes me think 'Sweeney Todd'. The heavy dark inner elements remind me of razor blades.
First logo looks great, but it's read as FB and in the typography the B looks like a three and because the B in the logo could also be a 3 as we can't see the left side of it, many people will think it says "3 ROOKS FLOORING". Kind of a shame cause visually it's pretty nice.
If the Sighter logo represents a person Left: Your friendly customer support guy, always ready to help, buttoned up shirt, an agreeable person. Right: Over achiever in a suit, with all the latest tech, he is an expert in his field. XDDDDDDD
Mart has amazing talent and a distinctive style. The original logo still looks better. It's not perfect but it looks more 'approriate' Chris, you should also give your comments.
Hey, I think it would be really cool to have a poll on episodes like this. Know there's the live chat as well but if you come after you can still participate & get involved.
Lol, would be nice to know what the guy is doing, what shortcut's he is using and why he's doing what he's doing tbh, the low framerate of his video and the speed of it makes it pretty hard to learn from. Still great content as usual.
You can set on Preferences < Guides and Grid a Gridline every 8px with 1 subdivision to start with. And then you can explore the Gridline from that by multiples of 8 (16, 24, 32, 40, 48px...) and increase your subdivisions if it makes your work more confortable.
Too much playing with the first "logo" (too many subjective decisions), adding too many things. A mark that has the initials inverted, customize the B, K, F, R, G and they don't even look related to each other. He should listen to what Sagi Haviv says and keep it simple.
That's the process of iteration and Mart even said that since this wasn't for a real client so he went with what visually stood out better to him. Chris pointed it out about the type but this is where custom type can "break" the rules somewhat. He's not creating a whole new font, so I feel that what he created set it apart. Again, design is subjective...so to each his own.
This is crazy he creates shape, then creates matching fonts on the fly, Super he created a level of his own
wow! the first one was just amazing! such detail! just perfect
I never saw anyone use Photoshop like that. Damn!
I’m assuming it was done with a tablet. I soooooo need to start implementing one.
wola thomas /// ok. So i watched everything and I better understand your comment. Haha. He is very articulate with PS.
@@hyacinthdibley2420 I assume so, tho I use a HUION tablet, I haven't gotten so proficient. It's mostly about the artist, not the tool.

we have to be masters on paper before going into screen

I learn a lot when I watch logo therapy 😍
Glad to hear
Incredible as always, so good to see Brazil represented (:
Valeu Pedro!

Ae Daniel! Valeu cara ..
@@evertongargioni6909 Eu que agradeço sua presença! Ver um brasileiro por aqui me inspira bastante :)
Fiquei surpreso também kkkk
Whoa!! the mock-ups are like special treats for us viewers.
Great episode as always so motivated to watch logo therapy.
Great job, designers! So glad to see another episode! There will never be enough Logo Therapy! 🙌
This brooks flooring process is exceptional
Im just so glad this channel exists
We are glad you exist too.
The Building process of typographic is really wonderful. Thank you for sharing us your tips.
Love both of Matt's flooring logos versatility speaks clear and his and work method is insane
I like the FB watermark in the new one, but not the typography, also prefer the colours in the original

You guys are Awesome
First one is epic 😍
knap gedaan Mart, Thumbs up!
The artist is awesome! The shape of BROOKS is really good but I don't like the typography! ^^
More logo therapy please
How he's doing designs that swift on Photoshop??? 🤯 He is on another level. He's fast and precise!
Thank you for the amazing videos like this one 👌👌

Thanks Matthew. Next time I will be more aware of what to do better.
I'm glad I found this video. I like the new logo that Mart did.

I LOVE THE LINE IN THE MIDDLE
Really love the whole process and the conversation as well.

Right S reminds me of Sega
I Love this Process
Love it guys!!!
They are sooooooo good
Great video!
THE FIRST TIME I SEE SOMETHING LIKE THAT .. AMAZING

I do love the new flooring logo but it just doesn't tell me "this is a logo of a flooring company" while the first logo communicates that immediately.
Yeah, to me it looks like a logo for a sneaker or some kind of apparel.
Love this content!!
Mart has amazing talent and a distinctive style.
The original logo still looks better. It's not perfect but it looks more 'approriate'
Chris, you should also give your comments.
I've learned a lot today really
Love the process. Excellent work but my brain is seeing the B and a 3 so I am reading "3 Rooks".
I read it FB instead of BF
That's cool!
man.....suh great concepts. I need to get better at just coming up with concepts fast.
Awesome video - really inspiring.

يا واكلينهم بتجيبو الابداع ده من وين .. ها .. من وين !!!!!!!
B for both
I love the B one. But what if it could be BF instead?
Photoshop is so painful to design in, though... Takes forever, def prefer illustrator (sketch for UI)
Incredible man, you are just great (Brook flooring) Would like to learn from you
I love where the Brooks Flooring logo is going, but there still are some kinks that need to be worked out imo. For instance, Brooks reads as 3rooks
Lol, would be nice to know what the guy is doing, what shortcut's he is using and why he's doing what he's doing tbh, the low framerate of his video and the speed of it makes it pretty hard to learn from. Still great content as usual.
the series is meant to be a broad overview and more about process than learning specific tools.
How do you create an 8 point grid in illustrator?
You can set on Preferences < Guides and Grid a Gridline every 8px with 1 subdivision to start with.
And then you can explore the Gridline from that by multiples of 8 (16, 24, 32, 40, 48px...) and increase your subdivisions if it makes your work more confortable.
This is wild
Why?
@@TheFuturAcademy both of their workflows are mind blowing! I'm just getting into logo design... They just opened up my world.. Ya kno?
Typo at 0:54 "behance.net/studioopmars"
Hey, Cris can you please do therapy of my logo. Please!
You Rock Sir
I wish he kept the original colors on the BROOKS one
I always dublicate layers, thats why my Ps files are always so huge and slow. I need to stop doing that
why is red colour used in wong answers
Bring Hadeel back!!
Please work on audio guys your voice is HQ but otherss are LQ. Feeling baf on that
What he did with FB or BF was ridiculously good. Illustration skills can lend such power to a designer. But I didn't like the Typo used.
Chris "Are you in illustrator now" Do
looks like the Sega logo for the second one. if i am not the only one. It will affects the brand
Hahaha 80's videosssss effect
If they changed the name to "Flooring by Brooks" Problem solved! 😂
Haha
behance studio mistake spelling
the new logo is three logos
You know whats tighter? nvm.
3 rooks
mandou um salve pros br kkkkk
Haha 👊🏻
Im new to graphic design. I honestly thought I was shit for going over my design sooo many times. This guy has a disease compared to me lol.

@@AnthonyMcNeil well, you think that Design is subjective so maybe that's why we disagree. I think Art is subjective but Design has to be objective.
@@N0STIC0 I agree with you Joao. Design serves the end user, not designer's ego. In that case, you should be an artist, not a designer.
Brooks had much more Potential to be cleaned up i did not like the Result at all.
