  • On this day in 1985, the memorial of Blessed Dominic of the Mother of God (Dominic Barberi), Myles received the word to start New Dawn Walsingham! 🙌
Attending the Lion of Judah Catholic Charismatic Conference in Ars France, Myles was deeply moved by the crowds fervour. Whilst stood at the famous statue of the Cure d'Ars he said to the Lord: "This is France, what about England?"
Instantly he received the words 👉 "New Dawn Walsingham"!
Two years later Myles and his wife Joan founded the first New Dawn in Walsingham, attended by over 800 national and international pilgrims. New Dawn is now in 7 countries across the world, touching the lives of thousands every year 🌍 🙌
👉 We thank Myles for asking that inspired question at the famous statue of the Cure d'Ars! đŸ”„đŸ•Š
👉 We thank Myles and Joan for faithfully responding to God's call!
👉 We thank Blessed Dominic Barberi, an Italian Passionist Father who had an intense love for England and saw it as his adopted homeland! Blessed Dominic travelled here in 1841 to preach the Gospel tirelessly until his death in 1849 at Reading. It was Blessed Dominic who received St John Henry Newman into the Catholic Church. In coming to England, Blessed Dominic fulfilled the desire of the Passionist Founder St Paul of the Cross, who had prayed for the conversion of England for 50 years! Blessed Dominic is now buried at St Helens - not far from St Emilies Oakhill (Liverpool) where Myles and Joan lived for the remaining years of their life 🙏
It is no coincidence that Myles received the word for New Dawn Walsingham on today's memorial! 😇
In honour of Myles, we invite you to watch this Tribute from this year's virtual conference, where we hear from some of those whose lives were changed and touched by Myles.
Jesus Christ is Lord, now and forever! ❀
