♥ Hi, my name is Lori and my goal is to teach, inspire and live off the land in style by knitting my own clothes, creating essential survival items and living luxuriously warm, dyeing fibre using bright acid colours and occasionally plants, fungi, muck and mud.
When I began wet felting 10 years ago, there were only a few basic tutorials. On this channel, I want to share everything I know so so that you can easily begin upgrading your craft by creating remarkable fibre art more quickly. From illustrative conceptual ideas into beautiful creative work that is ready to repeat quickly using minimal tools and resources.

I love the music and the sheep at the start of every video. Thank you for all you do. Very proud of your crafting.

Awe that's so nice, thank you! I sometimes wonder if its too repetitive but I'm sure it's because I am editing the video.

If I decide to make soap, I will go to your channel. If I inherit extra cash, I will make some homemade soap 😆. Sounds dreamy. Your video quality looks amazing. I am using my iPhone. I sometimes think I should get a real camera.

@@WhiteDormouseArtisanSoaps Oh my haha so good to hear that! I won't change it, I do like the sheep too. If making a large bag, definitely use Corriedale wool, it is much easier to use. I am not exactly sure what Core wool is, but it sounds like it is fluffier, thick and bouncy for making larger projects. Similar to the Corriedale wool. Would love to hear how your felting goes!

Awe thank you so much. Very happy to hear. Definitely go for Ashford Corriedale (30 micron) 😀 I’m finding this brand of wool specifically is easiest to work with. It felts really easily. Although I like some lanolin in my wool, I think it’s because it’s washed well, it helps for wet felting larger projects more quickly.

I have different color alpaca wool (adult and baby) they all differ a lot in softness/coarseness
I’m curious to find out what my experience is going to be felting with that

I was actually thinking this. The Alpaca has a fluffy and hairy look to it once felted. I have not felted with Alpaca on its own so it would be interesting to hear how it goes for you!
"Alpaca fleece is wonderful for felting projects as it is so soft with less of the “tickle factor” of sheep's wool and as the fibres are hollow it gives an amazingly warm and light finish" - simplyalpaca.co.uk
