- International felt tutor, Wendy Bailye, presents a basic workshop on making a round, 3D felted pot. This is a great video to watch for beginner felt-makers. Wendy has been felt-making for nearly 30 years and runs a vibrant felt art studio from her home in the Samford Valley, close to Brisbane, Australia. She teaches online regularly and each year presents a new in-depth felt-making class that will recharge your creative juices! Her two classes are 50 Shades of Grey, Felt! (July 2023) and Textures and Patterns in Nature (Sept 2023) Go to www.wendybailye.com and subscribe to her newsletter. If you want to be part of her classes there is a register your interest form on her website for each class- you will be then sent an email when the class opens.

Oo beautiful. I'd like to have a crack at this for sure. It's quite a repetitive process but I find that quite calming usually. Thank you for sharing !
It is a lovely art to learn!
My spinning and weaving group (Rockhampton) is doing a felting workshop soon and I've used your video so I don't go in with no idea. I'll have a little go at it before the workshop using your video as a guide. Thank you, it's an excellent presentation and I feel confident to go into this workshop with a little bit of prior knowledge.
Always good to be prepred. Glad you enjoyed it
This is lovely! Thank you for such a well explained tutorial. This is the first time I've watched the felting process, and you've made it seem both doable and fun. I really appreciate it!

thank you!
Just discovered your channel this morning. Took a felting workshop recently at our local art center in my little town of Hamilton MT. We made Christmas ornaments. I got hooked on the medium. I went on to do wool landscape “painting” and just love it. Now I want to try making these little pods. The whole process is so hands on. Your instruction is spot on and most enjoyable-easy to follow and concise. Very straight forward not a lot of chatter. Thank you so much. I need to go get out supplies and get messy🤣🥳
Thanks for your lovely comments! I hope you have success with the pods. I do have a great class starting on the 12th February if you are interested. details are on my website www.wendybailye.com

Great tutorial. How long does it need to dry
Depebnds on where you live and the room temp.....I pop mine outside and it is dry in an hour in Australia !
Thank you , great video😊 How much wool you use to the whole pot . To have some idea how thick are the layers. And how big is the template ?
Let me check and get back to you...I am away at the moment!
Does it matter what kind of soap you use?
Olive oil soap and sometimes Lux pure soap flakes. You want a soap that is not too lathery
What material is the template?
It is just a soft white foam plastic(like you get covering white goods-you can ask at a white goods store and they will probably have some out the back!-otherwise use bubblewrap)
What is the template made from?
It is soft 2mm foam often used to warp electrical goods for packaging
