  • I've only use this light for one ride but so far I love it! Super easy to connect to your computer, compact, works great, and the battery seems to last long.
Check out Dave's Bike Shop in Raymore, MO and get yourself one!

Well done and informative. I didn't know about this other option, thanks!

I like it. Used for over 5 hours and still had two bars left.

Either one you choose, you cannot go wrong. It wont save your life per se, but it definately lets you know a car back behind you. It's especially clutch on windy days when you cannot hear the cars.

      Yes, 100%
It's nice to be able to look back and make sure the car sees you. This is more challenging on rides with more traffic, but still nice to know they're back there.

The light is awesome. Seems to last longer than Garmin and definitely does detect cars quicker.

I use one of those little mirrors in the end of my drop bars, but have been looking at the Varia, because sometimes, I just plain forget to look into my mirror every now and again. Riding Kansas gravel roads, it's always windy and I have a hard time hearing cars coming up on me. One of these would fit the bill nicely. Thanks for giving me an alternative to look at.

Absolutely. Someone else commented about wimd noise and I completely agree. Sometimes, the cars just sneak up on you. I have used a radar light for about two years now, and I simply will not ride without one. I've got two long rides on this one, and so far, I love it.

    Does it detect oncoming bicycles/scooters?

Bikes, yes. Scooters, I am not sure. Probably.

Hey bud, have you ever tried the little mirror that clips onto the glasses.? I swear by it.

No, I haven't, but I actually did a big group ride the other day, and I saw a lot of ppl using them.

GPlama´s test says it´s crap, stick with garmin.

This video is the kind that Trek and their dealers want to see. People having a good experience with the product. I took a less subjective approach and went deep into exactly how it performs in a number of common on-road scenarios.

@@gplama And THAT is want i want to know about a product, dose it perform like the claims on the box.

I actually watched the whole gplama video yesterday. All 37 minutes. Such a good video! My hat goes off to gplama for the effort he put in to that video. That had to be a ton of work. But I was completely honest with my review. I made this video before watching the gplama video, but after watching the gplama video, I think I know why I was getting some of the results I was getting. We were riding on back roads where the cars were not moving as fast, and it DID seem to detect those vehicles sooner. But the times were not consistent. Sometimes, 1 second sooner, sometimes a bit more. The time we were side by side on the busy road, the detection was a tie. The battery life DOES seem to be very good on this light, and I like that you can see how much battery is remaining. I am not an expert tech reviewer. I'm just a cyclist who likes riding bikes and tries to make fun videos. This light has worked great for me, but I've only used it twice now. The Garmin is also a great light. I used it for about two years. I was honest with what I said, though, but I did not go nearly as in depth as gplama. Cheers!
