  • Heya friends! I made a DIY Upholstered Bed Frame and at last... I've gotten my bed off the ground (well, kind of - technically it's on a box spring, which is on the ground 😉). Regardless, I made a diy bed frame that looks so luxe and was initially inspired by a ridiculously expensive platform bed from Rove Concept (we're talking over $2.5k for this bed frame). I'm really excited for this DIY bed design for a couple reasons, but to name a few... 1) I now have my bed off the ground, 2) I learned how to do pocket holes... and it isn't as hard as I thought!, and 3) the new bed frame really elevates the space and turned out as good as I imagined! So happy with this one you guys and I hope you enjoy this week's episode of Home Made Happy! Up next: I think I'll make a diy headboard to go with it :).
    PRODUCTS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO:
    - 2x12x12 (I needed 2 and got all 4 pieces cut from it at Home Depot) The cuts for a queen size mattress/ box spring were 2x80.5" long and 2x64" long, which was basically an exact cut out of the 2x12x12's (technically it came in just slightly under 64", but worked perfectly)

What a difference it makes!! Brings the whole room together 😍 One thing I’d really like to see, as someone who does DIY projects, is projected costs and final costs. That helps me figure out if it’s something I can afford to try!

I think adding little legs to the bed would just make it even more stunning 😍 You would probably have to add bottom pieces on all corners and that way you would also cover the little gaps. Great job on taming the curvy foam 👍 👏 👌

One of the best things about your DIYs is that you make them happen in an apartment!!!! Makes me feel like I can do all the DIYs in my own apt♡ Thank you for making accessible projects that aren't just gluing a bowl to a cup (which I've totally done)💕

This came out beautifully and really helps bring the room together! If anybody's planning on making something similar and has the same problem with finding flat foam, adding two or three layers of batting on top of the foam will smooth everything out
