Yes obviously that helps because I have been a huge bakerboys fan since my early days of skateboarding , but I don't know, there was a motivating and natural atmosphere ! Just guys who motivate each other to go out and film ! Now I feel like the goal is to put out the most tricks and have the most views or have a sponsor .. Things are changing of course .. but for example, I am sad about myself to say that all those Baker guys don't skate together every day like that time, a lot of them are "separated" or busy in other projects .. but, wouldn't that define life all that ? We spend a long time with friends with who believe that everything will last forever, and ultimately no, but we never forget those golden years ! (Like this era .. Baker/deathwish, stay gold, low life tour .. 2007/2012, amazing years !)

Such a significant time for skateboarding.. after the 90s legends developed fundamentals and pushed the perceived limits of skateboarding, For us who were skating at that time were all so privileged to see and experience the buzz of when a trick was done the first time or first to be down, over, off or on the next best spot. 90s had huge milestones set and possibilities realised. It became unfathomable as to what or how a ‘next level’ could or would be even in the realms of possibility after witnessing a new wave of something previously unseen in skateboarding. Late 90s early 00s came with a new generation of young blood injecting reassurance in the further evolution and progression of skateboarding in future.
B Herm is a treasure to skateboarding. I wish this man the utmost well! Stay Gold melted my young brain. He and Spanky made me question my mental limitations and start hucking shit. Don't huck any more but damn they lit a fire in me. ESSENTIAL.
