be careful tho!! i had an issue in high school where i took my bangs too far back and i couldnt unsee that the front of my hair looked like a bowl cut lol.
It only looks like that if you take too much hair from the sides of your head so you probably just did it wrong your bangs should be a very skinny v-shape in the front of your head
@@Ferindel lol obviously i did it wrong, but the sides werent the issue. what happened with me was i had thick swoopy side bangs that i didnt let grow out all the way, and i just cut them to bangs. the sides were long so it wasn’t noticeable for a while. then i realized the bangs started almost halfway to the back of my head and i couldnt unsee the bowl cut on top lol. i ended up pinning back half of my bangs for months until it grew out.
@@ukoopbs what i did when my bangs started growing out was split them in half, and take the top half and pin them down with your middle part. i liked to use those cute butterfly clips at the end of the hair sections. headbands also help a ton at first. the top section of bangs is gonna grow out, so when you trim your bangs keep that section far away. add a lotta hair spray, then the bottom half will eventually be your thinner bangs lol.
Put a book on top of your head. Then look at the location of where your head no longer touches the book (the part where your head begins to go down) is where your bangs should start.
Exactly what my hairstylist said! I showed him a photo of the very minimal see-through bangs and he said "no, you need to cut more hair for that." Cutting a more vertical section instead of a more horizontal section, over-directing with a hair dryer, and hairspray got me the straight bangs!

I have a cowlick that’s not dead center it’s like tryna side part, and I’ve never thought I looked good with a side part because I have a widows peak. I still try to have bangs because I think they’re so cute and love them
I feel like I didn’t have a problem with my bangs doing that cause before I had my “normal bangs” I had the scene/ emo girl fringe and we went BACK to get those and I just haven’t grown out my bangs to change where I cut em. I’ve had bangs for so long tho tempted to grow em out and see how I feel now
I have that cowslick too 🥲 I got my hair done yesterday to have a fringe/bangs, and I look SO SILLY, I have a huge gap on where my cowslick angles and my hair falls… 💔 now idk what to do… I regret it so much

I had the same problem until I cut them that way accidentally at 13. Now I've been doing it for 7 years lol.

I think you can still do this but you just don’t take as much hair horizontally and you only do a small section that goes farther back

How do you hairblow dry them? That can help a lot. You have to go side to side,front to back,hold them up and shuffle them down.
