Now we need one for kobolds about the time the advanced player's guide comes out. You can't negotiate with goblins. They rather eat all of your stuff and burn the rest. You can with kobolds. If you treat them right (after intimidating them perhaps) and keep your promise, you can use them for building traps (or cannon fodder) against your common enemies. At least until they find some loophole. But if you don't keep your end of the bargain, be afraid. Be very afraid. Unless you are a sorcerer of draconic bloodline and/or dragon disciple. (I am hoping to have a number of these as incompetent yet loyal followers for my sorcerer character after APG comes out)

Breeding like Homicidal Rabbits, that made me smile. Also interesting to find out that Goblins lose and grow teeth like sharks.
Now I want to have in a goblin loot pool a children's coloring book that smells funny. The players can see it being magical, and if they go through great lengths to decipher it, they learn that they have a makeshift but functional Time Stop scroll in their hands.

The history of folklore: Goblins have often been used as antisemitic caricatures. And while it's hard to tell which came first, putting long noses on small evil creatures known for their greed does derive from antisemitism.
Paizo: Got it. To make sure we won't accidentally play into bad tropes, our goblins will have the flattest noses you've ever seen.
And they like to blow shit up and set it on fire!
I love there's a goblin coffee blend. I ran a homebrew setting where goblins were only 'goblins' because they were all highly addicted to a tropical coffee bean and had become master baristas in finding ways to enjoy their favourite thing in the world. Hobgoblins were the result of a goblin that didn't drink the coffee, and thus get their growth stunted or mind addled and looked down on/embarrassed by their jungle brethren. One of the goblin baristas and a hobgoblin even joined the all gnome party. The party then colonised the goblins to have the coffee for themselves and hiring goblins as baristas (hence the party member). That is now my worlds canon goblin.

We ran the game "We be goblins" at one point for our server and that was pretty much how everyone played them. David bowie was also their tribe leader for some reason. It was a crazy session.
