Hello everyone, and thank you so much for viewing my latest video. Here I improvise completely on the spot what a Chopin Nocturne may sound like. It's in the lovely key of Eb minor, 6 flats, one of my favorite keys. Please enjoy the sound of my newly restored Yamaha C7 from the 1980s!

I'm just as impressed by how clean/clear his piano cover is - do you have any idea how hard it is to keep it that clean?? Look how clear his hands are in the reflection! Respect

I love that part after ~ 7:53, it's so haunting in the beginning and gets progressively more epic.. gives me goosebumps every single time
the whole motif you developed through 03:30 to 04:00 is so satisfying, it gave me chills.

I hate how people use music to support a "greater" thing. Just let the piece be itself, so much experience and emotion goes into it, all to capture a mood? I guess maple leaf rag should not be known as Scott Joplin's piece, but music that captures the scene of a barfight. Because barfights, daily life, things that you do as a hobby, are all the norms in which music should signify

@@kylelandry on a another note, how do you feel playing the restored piano, is the sound difference huge in real life? it sounds different, but of course it 'd be more apparent in real life than on youtube.
I love that my parents can throw piano music on and i can instantly recognize when Kyle is playing! I dont know how or why but kyle's playing is so distinctive and special for me. Thank you for your passion kyle!

It would be so worthwhile to take the best themes and parts of this and seriously compose a nocturne from this! Not that there’s much lacking in the improv

Finally I can hear the sound of your restored C7! It sounds amazing now.. I prefer analog recordings over every digital recording I have ever heard. It sounds so much more natural.

Superb. I listened with headphones on full volume. Everyone should listen to this with headphones. That piano is sounding incredible. Considering the maintenance you just had done to it, I don't think it's possible for a piano to sound any better on a recording than that just did.
