Catfish are biting with the full moon during the morning. Anchovy had more action. Fished 8/13/22 at (34.2998014, -117.3310551) and caught cats 3-6lbs. Cats are grouping up in schools.
What part of Silverwood lake are you fishing in
60-80 foot water. It’s in the middle of the lake, north section.
Are smaller hooks better or bigger circle hooks?
I like using Owner mosquito hooks size 4 and 6. These small hooks are sharp and don’t take much effort to hook set the fish.

Tightened up your drag lol. How much is the line you using for you to have that much drag?
4lb to 6lb test. Rule of thumb to fishing bigger fish with smaller line is to adjust your drag to the match the pull with a little drag slip on the pull.

@@CatchEmAllChai yes it’s 10 when you are not at a regional park. The regional parks on your permit it will usually say “limit 5 per species”
I didn't know that Lake hadcatfish that small .

Solo missions are usually testing equipment and gear. But I’ll take the whole family out on the water as much as I could.
Tighten the drag
4-6 lb line, small hooks. Little slight less drag is the key to smooth drag. Don’t wanna pull the hook.
