  • Unverified Belief VS. Delusional Thinking.
Consider the differences between knowing and believing, and then again believing you know something for certain that the whole world of human feedback is telling you is delusional.
Delusions are part of psychosis and psychotic disorders.
Strange and/or unverified beliefs are all the rage for conspiracy theorists.

Good stuff, self inquiry has shown me not a single belief is true ultimately all of them are the same thought stuff, one is equal to another. Also they are pure imagination 👍

You put that in a way which intrigues my philosophical curiosity. But that's a fact! 🔥

@@nednednerb I can't help myself one more if you don't mind " if you put all of your thoughts including memories into a box how much space would that thought stuff take up?" Would it be heavy or light or neither? Learning the difference between reality and imagination aka thought is waking up to what is not what one wishes it to be and knowing the difference. When you think of yourself is that you or is it thought stuff pretending to be you? A simulacrum playing out feedback loops that sound like I want I need...

It's not always a mental illness I had a break down I've been in a mental hospital after my mother passed I was tested for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and I had neither one I was diagnosed as clinical depression so seeing face in defferent objects it's not always a mental illness and drawing the face I seen and showing it to others and Googling the name the spirit website gave and a man name Ricko looked like the man I drew and showing that to others Not Always A Mental Illness

I think I may get delusional thoughts ...whenever I listen to music and it’s a good song or whateva I’ll trip out and start having thoughts like this guy might be the devil or a demon coz who can rap this fast or it could be a set of lyrics could set it off ...I think it’s apart of my pareidolia I looked up the meaning and there was a part that said one of the symptons is hearing hidden messages in music ...but it’s not really like that it’s more Dellusinal thinking well listening to music ...but I’ve got to say it’s made me appreciate music more ..and definitely isn’t a negative ..i love going on them weird adventures ..like for example not long ago I was going thru this phase or whateva and I was listening to music backwards like an hour a day coz I thought you could get out of the matrix 😂 it never worked but I still got satisfaction for trying

If you appreciate the music more, that is a good thing I think. The difference between a "rational belief" and a "delusion" is both "philosophical" and "psychiatric" in scope. I mean, there are PLENTY of "unverified beliefs" from spirituality to quantum physics, and beyond. However, when an individual believes something so fiercely that they begin to potentially cause to suffer or make dangerous choices, THEN I think the psychiatry of that situation makes me call those beliefs "delusional". Otherwise, it might be "off the wall" or weird or "out there," but I think it can be safely called part of an "off the wall" or weird or "out there" belief system.
I'm not willing to call every belief of the schizophrenic "a delusion" just like my rationality and philosophy education makes me actually unwilling to quickly and simplistically dismiss all "out there" scientific and religious ideas. I went to university for 6 years to study "belief" and "theory of interpretation"!
Ultimately, it's harder to distinguish between the results of reality (real observations?) and the results of belief (real perceptions?) than it is to ultimately discount a belief as delusional.....Although that is true from a "theory of knowledge" method, I gave a way to define delusion above as believing so fiercely it causes you or another to suffer or engage in danger. That definition fits schizophrenics as well as cult followings and violent politicians.
Have a good day, and thank you for watching my videos and commenting!!
