The ENTIRE home 😭 I was a true minimalist for years, and now two kids in and nearing 30, I’m like what the heck has happened 😅

My shed needs the most work. My mud room/laundry room needs an update. And I need to work on our wardrobes a little more.
The Broom hanger is a game changer. Such a simple fix but has made a huge difference.

You could even put your makeup tray in one of your dresser drawers and then it won’t create a residue on the carpet,too. Use the same tray or a lift out container. Awesome video!

I appreciate getting to know what life is like on the other side of the camera. I knew it had to take a long time to make one video, but I had no idea that it took THAT long!! I always appreciate your content.
I personally use the closet for “nicer”/work clothing. My dresser is for bras/underwear, pajamas, more casual t-shirts, activewear and bathing suits.

My closet and my rolltop desk are my two sources of frustration- very messy! I'm tackling the closet tomorrow!
We married young also. Ive always wanted to learn how to hang things but never took the time. Weve been married 45 years. Lol. I guess its never to late to learn.

I love your videos. Please never stop! I often say that organizing is my love language. I feel like I have to organize something because when I do I feel so much better. Love the bag hanger unit - as well as it looks great, you don't have to go behind the door to hang the bags, and you can easily see them. Loved this one. It inspired me to reorganise my cleaning supplies and jeans drawer ❤
You could consider using the new dresser for your sweaters & such - better than hanging for the shoulder area.
The problem is just the distance. It’s pretty inconvenient having to cross through two rooms just to get to my sweaters 😘

When I started organising my clothes I bought some of those hangers, they’re great, and also it meant that they all matched too.
The Elfa system is amazing! Several years ago, my husband tore out our entire pantry shelving system, took all the measurements up to the Container Store, and they did a custom design right then and there. We made a few tweaks, bought the stuff, and hubby installed it all. LIFE CHANGING! We took advantage of their Elfa sale in late December/early January. It's definitely the best time to buy.

I was thinking if you could glue one of those furniture moving pads to the bottom of the makeup tray and it would move smooth like the plastic container.

Definitely consider IKEA shelving system. They are cost effective and great quality. I did a closet redo in our closet and it was so easy and has been incredibly functional. Painted and got shelving up in one day!

In my last house I upcycled my dresser and night stand and put them in my closet for a built-in look. It was so adorable that when I sold the home they made me leave the dresser.

I have also seen people put their dresser in their walk-in closet and that is something I would love to do, but sadly mine isn't a walk-in.

I always put my dresser in the closet! then it frees up floorspace in the bedroom itself and prevents another surface from becoming cluttered.
I enjoy watching your videos. I wish our home was as organized as yours. I however am struggling with this. I tend to hold on to things, that aren't really needed or used. I have so many clothes, shoes, purses, bags. Make up, hair stuff , ect. Do you Ashlynne or anyone else out there have any helpful tips for minalizing our home?

A low dresser in your closet would work fantastic with space to use above it.
Have you considered folding your shirts marie-kondo style so they sit up vertically like books? For your shelf system might help it stay tidier as when you take a shirt out then, youre not moving the whole stack around! Jusr an idea :)
I enjoyed your video. I did want to mention that my husband likes to tug his clothes off the hanger. Since the velvet hangers "hold" them, they were not an effective solution for him.
Yes! My clothes are on the velvet ones and my husband's are on plastic ones of the same color.

Lol if if was just for practical purposes, I would! But it’s a gorgeous antique that goes so well with our bedroom set. Plus I don’t think it would fit anyways. 😅
Could you put in a tall but skinny dresser in there?
I would also suggest getting another dresser to put into the closet. Either something shorter that can stay under the hanging clothes, or something tall and skinny to replace that hanging drawer storage.

Why do you cram all the clothes up tight when you have so much space. The fabrics need to breathe. Just a tip.
Why don’t you try moving your dresser into your walk in closet, perhaps?
