Yea I forget what the actual name is in the menu, but you can change the blood effects and it turns them the same grey/whiteish color. Looks really cool actually haha
I was hoping to see this weapon soon, it's an interesting looking sword and the weapon art is really quite cool looking. When I saw it I was hoping that you'd be able to 2H R1 into the weapon art, similarly to the onyx greatsword from DS3.
I used to use this a lot on my main and loved it, but, then I got the Blasphemous Blade. The Steeple is a good weapon! I'm just disappointed the AoW doesn't last longer. *sad trumpet noise* Great video, as always! Keep 'em comin'! These are the highlight of my day!
Last time I was this early, I blew someone up. Also, props at 9:00 for using that wonderful shield. I love the damn thing, I just wish it weighed like 5 less.
Perfect timing, I was literally just thinking about respecing my main character to use this weapon today lol. Gotta love Chases commitment to this series. It's actually a lot of work to go and do all the set up for these every day. Well, maybe not a lot but more than nothing lol.
Such a cool looking effect! I just wish it lasted longer, like all the other weapon buffs... Also feel it should probably have had slight innate frost buildup like the Moonlight, too.
i’m gonna hop on train with the other viewers and once again recommend trying out the Crescent Moon Axe. very interesting heavy attacks and access to custom ashes of war. plus the potential to MAYBE be the first great axe in your series since i don’t remember what all you’ve done
Would love to see the Great Épée in a showcase. It’s running light is a bit disappointing but the rest of the moveset is great. I love using it with the glintstone pebble Ash of War
Really wish this weapon had some sort of cool weapon art like ghostflame ignition or atleast some really cool heavies given the lore of this weapon. It should be a really unique weapon but its just so generic and is completely outclassed by moonlight greatsword or deathpoker
In my experience, the Powerstance Backstep -> L1 for dual greatswords is one of the only truly useful backstep attacks. For how hard it hits, and the fact that it's a thrust which in my experience is harder for people to time dodges against, it's _really_ fast, and the reach of most greatswords is enough that Backsteps lacking I-Frames isn't a huge inhibitor to using it to outspace and whiff punish. And, in PvE, backstepping Malenia's kicks and close swings to punish with a dual-buffed Moonlight GS/Helphen's Steeple L1 dual-stab is very satisfying, and effective to boot. Helphen's Steeple has to be my favorite GS in terms of looks. I only really wish it had the Knight's GS/Inseparable GS 2H moveset, with the finesseful chain swings, and maybe a thrust R2 like Onyx Blade had in Dark Souls 3.
Thank you so much for doing Helphen's Steeple! It's definitely my favorite weapon and you use it super well, though I suppose that's to be expected since it's basically just the onyx blade from ds3. I didn't think they would be that crazy strong just from dual wielding them. The invasions were great too, especially the one with the red wolf of radagon
How do you do that 180° turn for the back step/stab ?! I’ve never been able to pull it off lol. Great video though Chase! I recently got this sword on one of my other characters and I’m considering respecing to use it
I dont know if it was a bug or not. I tried this weapon on my str/int build awhile back. I used the buff when someone e rolled into me. The buff had a hitbox and staggered him. It may be worth testing to use the buff as an anti forward roll maneuver. Then catch em on the panic rolls backwards
Hey chase, whenever you do a video like this, could you flash the weapon's description for like half a second so I could read them? I love reading lore about weapons, especially ones I haven't discovered. Great video by the way
Pray you get invaded or duel against someone as nice as Chase. So many gatekeeping, point-down, 3v1 gankers (that he gladly always crushes) and just straight morons. Our community is now as big as I always dreamed it would and should be after I played Demon's in 2010 and now I'm so happy there's so many new players. It would be amazing if their first PvP experience was against someone as nice and honourable as Chase and a damn shame if it was against some tool that scares them away for mistakenly drinking a potion or something. We all have our favourites in the series and ER is probably only 3rd on my particular list but I'm so glad for how many sales it achieved and brought Souls to the masses.
That last duel has me wanting to do a lotr Nazgul build. Can't believe I haven't thought of anything lotr for this game before. I need ideas for the build/weapons and cosplay armor though! Little side note, I don't have thousands and thousands of hours like so many, so I'm not going to know any of the suggestions by heart so a where to find would also be greatly appreciated! I haven't played this in months.
Just switched to a dex/int build again after really only enjoying strength/faith at lvl 200 and this weapon really the only reason I feel like staying in it
Just started using this thing and I love it. The power stance moveset is pretty fun, I'm pairing it with a Cold Iron Greatsword which gives the setup great frost buildup
CAN YOU PLS HIGHLIGHT THE GREAT STARS??? PLS PLS PLS!!! IM A HUGE FAN. I STRIVE TO HAVE THE CONFIDENCE AND COMPOSURE THAT YOU MAINTAIN WHEN PVPing IN DS/ER. BUT FOR ME, WHAT REALLY STANDS OUT IS HOW APPARENT IT IS THAT YOU ARE JUST HAVING FUN! GREAT STARS PLS!!!
Please, Mr. TheBro, choose the next showcased weapon wisely. You can do a Elden Ring Weapon Showcase 69 only once.
A whip seems to be a good choice for that, tbh.
Shoulda been the finger
The finger
theres a chance it was pre recorded.
It literally HAS to be the Finger hammer
Must I recommend St Trina's Torch for it is insatiable
Keep asking and it will be become a meme until Chase use it for his final episodep
I will second for today
I got your back
Before the torch he has to use the finger for showcase 69
I like all the torches so far but wired is def best.
Chase slowly learning the backstab sweetspots. He’ll be taking booty on streams in no time
2 in the magma wyrm scalesword episode!! He’ll be unstoppable soon
pause
Something about the white flames in this game is just so damn cool man.
Yea I forget what the actual name is in the menu, but you can change the blood effects and it turns them the same grey/whiteish color. Looks really cool actually haha
@@stu.chainz Tell me what the name is once you remember please.
Heh. Cool. Cuz Frostbite :3
I am funny now clap.
Same with destined death and red lightning. Great additions.
Not a weapon per se, but I would love to see Chase's take on a build that uses Shield Bash's super armor to make trades
Or shield crash
Fingerprint shield 🤡🤡🤡
Which is better? Shield bash or crash?
@@TheSpectralForce probably crash it does more damage and can proc status effects easier
@@TheSpectralForce I like crash much more
Nothing better than just finishing a weapon showcase vid then he post’s a new one
I was hoping to see this weapon soon, it's an interesting looking sword and the weapon art is really quite cool looking. When I saw it I was hoping that you'd be able to 2H R1 into the weapon art, similarly to the onyx greatsword from DS3.
Very entertaining showcase. I loved the variety in the invasions. I am glad you were able to find people in more places than Castle Sol!
I used to use this a lot on my main and loved it, but, then I got the Blasphemous Blade. The Steeple is a good weapon! I'm just disappointed the AoW doesn't last longer. *sad trumpet noise*
Great video, as always! Keep 'em comin'! These are the highlight of my day!
For showcase #69 you must use the ringed finger, and try finger but hole. It is right and just
I love using this power stanced with the moonlight greatsword! Great video!
One of the coolest weapons in Elden ring imo, reminds me of the frostmourne a little bit
Onyx Blade gets an Elden Ring glowup
I'd recommend the Wyrm Scalesword. Not only is it a cool weapon but it'd be fun with the Claw talisman
Last time I was this early, I blew someone up.
Also, props at 9:00 for using that wonderful shield. I love the damn thing, I just wish it weighed like 5 less.
This weapon is really cool I just wish either the buff lasted longer or it had frostbite buildup on the weapon like the moonlight greatsword does.
i really appreciate that you check out the ideal stat alignment for the weapons
Can't help but think "I've seen your kind, time and time again" every time I see this sword, lol
Though this is technically a black blade it is not Malikeths black blade, day 52 of asking for a black blade showcase.
18:20 That’s a whole entire boss entrance right there
Perfect timing, I was literally just thinking about respecing my main character to use this weapon today lol.
Gotta love Chases commitment to this series. It's actually a lot of work to go and do all the set up for these every day. Well, maybe not a lot but more than nothing lol.
That Nazgul cosplay was rad, loved the incorporation of the iconic scream.
Any chance we’ll see the Rusted Anchor, Chase? That thing seems cool.
“I’ve seen your kind time and time again”
I don't think I've actually ever seen another person use this - great video as always dude!
Yes! thank you Chase! another great showcase and wicked fun invasions
Such a cool looking effect! I just wish it lasted longer, like all the other weapon buffs...
Also feel it should probably have had slight innate frost buildup like the Moonlight, too.
i LOVE this thing, i often find it in my left hand when i have my dark moon great sword...
Damn that wolf coming out of nowhere. Pretty anime.
this is my most anticipated weapon showcase ive been looking forward too as ive never seen it used but it seems so interesting
"Backstab! Backstab! Backstab!" DS3 Chase making a guest appearance I see.
That first invasion was actually pretty cinematic
Amazing content! Always look forward to a new one!
i’m gonna hop on train with the other viewers and once again recommend trying out the Crescent Moon Axe. very interesting heavy attacks and access to custom ashes of war. plus the potential to MAYBE be the first great axe in your series since i don’t remember what all you’ve done
Love the Crescent Moon Axe, just wished it had Double Slash for an AoW
Ah yes, the "I've seen your kind, time and time again" sword
Gargoyles great axe is criminally underated, plus could be an interesting showcase
Would love to see the Great Épée in a showcase. It’s running light is a bit disappointing but the rest of the moveset is great. I love using it with the glintstone pebble Ash of War
I would like to bear witness the weapon showcase for the Grafted Dragon 🐲💪
Really wish this weapon had some sort of cool weapon art like ghostflame ignition or atleast some really cool heavies given the lore of this weapon. It should be a really unique weapon but its just so generic and is completely outclassed by moonlight greatsword or deathpoker
I wish it let you do a ghost flame slash like moonveil but with the blasphemous blade animation
Helphen's Steeple has to be my favorite GS in terms of looks. I only really wish it had the Knight's GS/Inseparable GS 2H moveset, with the finesseful chain swings, and maybe a thrust R2 like Onyx Blade had in Dark Souls 3.
Back stabs on regis were clean af
Cool video! I would love to see your take on a Longsword/Broadsword build!
Reminds me of the Onyx Blade from DS3, what a great weapon. Similarly, the Partizan was also pretty great in DS3.
Thank god. Was getting concerned he wasn’t gonna post today. Thanks chase
Very impressed by your dodging the moonveil despite moving alongside the beam
Thank you so much for doing Helphen's Steeple! It's definitely my favorite weapon and you use it super well, though I suppose that's to be expected since it's basically just the onyx blade from ds3. I didn't think they would be that crazy strong just from dual wielding them. The invasions were great too, especially the one with the red wolf of radagon
Wooo! Let's go!
Aesthetic wise, this is one of my favorite weapons
The wolf timing on that invasion on point
I love helphens steeple. Such a weird weapon but its so cool
The ringwraith cosplay was great
Love the hosts being super brave 2v1 until a mob shows up then they just run squealing like pigs
Idk what it is but your videos just make me so happy. They’re so fun to watch while drunk.
That's enough chase. ST. Trinas Torch. We ain't asking nicely no more.
Once again, I cannot wait for the carnial vessel candlestand.
HAHAHAHA the opponent at 7:08 is named after a famous politician from Quebec!
Ahh yes the helphens steeple. A weapon of beauty with scaling similar to the lazuli glintstone sword. Subtly recommending it here again!
i'm genuinely curious to see how chase would handle the ghiza wheel
St Trina’s Torch for episode 69, it would be a challenge for once.
Would love a shield showcase!
Mans is pulling out weapons I’ve never seen
Must recommend the claws!
How do you do that 180° turn for the back step/stab ?! I’ve never been able to pull it off lol. Great video though Chase! I recently got this sword on one of my other characters and I’m considering respecing to use it
Gigachad getting run over by the wolf damn that was savage
This is such a cool weapon which I didn’t even know existed🤣
I love the Onyx Blade.
Love your channel bro I don’t take what you do for granted thank you fr chase
Some interesting fights in this one.
Dual ghostflame looks so cool! Family Heads for episode 69 plz :D
I recommend the prelates inferno crozier a big hammer for big damage
Chase, maybe try the stormhawk axe? Could powerstance them but the L2 is pretty good if the whole thing combos while using shard of alexander
The axe powerstance moveset is pretty bad sadly
@@vaskopoh9512 true, From remembered the twin axes from DS3 and knew they couldn't allow that
For the 69th showcase I'm hoping for somethin' nice. Like Ghiza's Wheel. That weapon is nice, especially as a poise beast and the weightless physick.
Fallingstar Beastjaw next, AoW is like Dragonslayer Swordspear from DS3, Very Cheesy.
The wolf flew in out of nowhere lmao
Bruh that wolf came outta nowhere 🤣🤣
I must say for the next weapon showcase my vote goes towards the Finger Hammer
Hey chase, whenever you do a video like this, could you flash the weapon's description for like half a second so I could read them? I love reading lore about weapons, especially ones I haven't discovered. Great video by the way

Can you please do a little tutorial on how you turn and do the backstep light attack so quickly?
You the king chasethebro. How about a shield and parrying showcase?
Torch pole next? It does horrible damage but I kinda want to see how chase optimizes a bad weapon.
Make a weapon showcase of the Visage Shield
hey chase, id really like if you gave an alternative dual wield option for unique weapons. For us folks not interested in NG+
Weapon showcase 69 must be the finger. Don’t miss this golden opportunity
Haven’t played Elden ring in months, might come back to it soon
Loving all the cosplay builds poppin up nowadays. What armor set was Nazgul wearing?
That last duel has me wanting to do a lotr Nazgul build. Can't believe I haven't thought of anything lotr for this game before. I need ideas for the build/weapons and cosplay armor though! Little side note, I don't have thousands and thousands of hours like so many, so I'm not going to know any of the suggestions by heart so a where to find would also be greatly appreciated! I haven't played this in months.
"AND THE RED WOLF WITH A STEEL CHAIR! BAH GOD ALMIGHTY!"
For the next showcase can you do a blood infused stone tablet shield? The shield crash ash of war has the potential to one shot
Bring on the flails!!
@ChaseTheBro So like, do you never lose? Or do we only see the successful duels/invasions?
Do the giants red braid! The ash of war is cool
Just switched to a dex/int build again after really only enjoying strength/faith at lvl 200 and this weapon really the only reason I feel like staying in it
Can you do the executioner's greataxe with a dragonslayer armor cosplay? don't know which armor would fit though
7:13 He-Hey!
I’d love to see you use the pike, it’s not as good damage-wise, but it’s really long and would be really solid for shield poking or 2 handed trades.
I think that executioners great axe guy was using the charge forth ash of war. Cuz the charged r2 has like no range
There's the church, there's the Helphen's Steeple
And with it there's Chase,
back stabbing people
The day has come !!!!!!
