David Koresh born Vernon Wayne Howell; August 17, 1959 - April 19, 1993 was an American cult leader who played a central role in the Waco siege of 1993. As the head of the Branch Davidians, a religious sect and offshoot of the Davidian Seventh-day Adventists, Koresh claimed to be its final prophet. His apocalyptic Biblical teachings, including interpretations of the Book of Revelation and the Seven Seals, attracted various followers.
Coming from a dysfunctional background, Koresh was a member and later a leader of the Branch Davidians, a movement originally led by Benjamin Roden, based at the Mount Carmel Center outside Waco, Texas. Here, Koresh competed for dominance with another leader, Benjamin Roden's son George, until Koresh and his followers took over Mount Carmel in 1987. In the early 1990s, he became subject to allegations about polygamy and child sexual abuse by former Branch Davidian associates, although an investigation by authorities found no conclusive evidence.
Further allegations related to the Branch Davidians' stockpiling of weapons led the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) and later the FBI to launch a raid on the group's Mount Carmel compound in February 1993. During the 51-day siege and violence that ensued, Koresh was wounded by ATF forces and later died of a gunshot in unclear circumstances as the compound was destroyed in a fire.

I remember watching the raid on TV and the tanks breaking holes in the walls and them spraying tear gas in the compound. Thank you for sharing this with us and I can't wait to see what you got coming for 2023 , Happy New Year's.........
Yes! It was so crazy I remember seeing it on TV live and no one knew at the time what was really going on and all of the details that came out eventually. Such a tragic, horrible event that didn’t need to happen. My thoughts & prayers go out to the poor souls that followed that Self Absorbed Con Artist/Cult Leader to their deaths, especially the innocent children. There is a special place in Hell for people like Koresh. Great channel & content Bake! You are always respectful In your videos to the victims.

I’m sorry you feel this way about the Davidians. That probably means you’ve never taken the time to speak to them. Its an easy enough thing to do.
I don’t think I ever mentioned the Dravidian’s in a negative way. Are they a cult? They fit the bill. I believe that David was a very manipulative individual. I’m sure there were people in Waco that didn’t agree and were descent people. However I will say that any community that allows a grown man to marry and have children with … children is not right and should be punished by the law. They allowed it to happen they knew about it. I never spoke about the Dravidian’s as a whole, just this sector of them.
If he would have surrendered, he may be out and free today. Maybe.
