Then Gordon stupidly jumps up to pass for no reason when he could've just stopped. lol

It was probably kinda hard to see him with everything going on and 2 defenders running at him but Westbrook was the closest and available so he wouldnât get trapped. Westbrook flat out shouldnât be on the court during these crunch times.

Some of Yâall, and ESPN especially are wild for mocking Westbrookâs every single mistake. Especially here. I didnât watch the game so I canât vouch for him completely, but that pass from Gordon was too high. Yes of course, Russ couldâve caught it, but Westbrook was ready to swing it to the corner for an open three. His head was in the right place, just not in the right moment which is very easy to mess up when it gets crazy. The fact that we inspect and blame EVERY mistake on Russ just shows how great of a player he actually is and can be with the right support. Everyone saying Sabonis flopped but truthfully he barely moved when Covington pushed him in the back đ. He got surprised a lil like anyone would if ur hit from behind but anyone can clearly see Covington hanging on his back nd then extending his arms. Doesnât matter if u push the person hard or not, extending the arm is a foul no matter what. Even on offense, so itâs the same on defense. It was a good call, the Clippers killed themselves this game with the turnovers.
It's called the Boozer bump that Carlos Boozer made popular. You barely need to hit the guy in the small of his back while he's about to jump to make him move. Refs look for it.
It's a "clever" foul if there's such a thing because most of the time in the closing moments of the game they'll just dismiss it as being physical inside the paint but the truth of the matter is a small push on the back has the effect of the opposite player not being able to get a hold of the ball as naturally we are much more limited in our range of movement than if being pushed from the front or side.

The referee needed to be more consistent. The questionable "push" on the back led to a foul call, but later on, the touch at PG's arm during his final shoot was not called.
The clippers are trash. They have a good team but they can't win a game.

Eric Gordon and Plumlee also had a few end of the game plays that lead to losses as well. So it isnât just Russ. Eric Gordon had a game where he crossed over himself and turned the ball over. Plumlee had fumbled the ball three times in the end of the quarter where he got stripped trying to dribble casually in the paint.
