I started school in 2020 to change careers and get into IT and hopefully eventually cybersecurity. After a number of hurdles, I eventually had to drop out of school after trying to stay in through lockdowns, and going back to in-person learning, financial hardships, etc. I was feeling incredibly low, but I've worked my way through the Linux Fundamentals course on HTB academy, I've made it to episode 8, and I have to say these videos are AMAZING. They've gotten me back on track to just learn this stuff on my own, and have been instrumental in getting me out of the funk I was in. Please continue this series, its amazing.
It has been easier to learn these topics from you and your channel, than it has been listening to numerous boring lectures by profs who don't want to teach.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Weird comment, but this is for you Chuck. I think you owe it to yourself to try Turkish style coffee if you haven't already.
For anyone wondering, it's basically regular good coffee, but WAY stronger. You sip it from a cup the size of a shot glass which probably has more caffeine than a whole cup of normal coffee. It also needs less sugar because of the ratio of coffee to sugar. It's an experience I think you'll enjoy, even if it doesn't end up being your every day thing

I love and protect spiders unless there is a risk with one.
In general I'll leave them be in my house or set them outside if it isn't winter. Outside of a few species of them they aren't really dangerous.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me what camera and settings you use to film on CZcams.
