    From the forests of Thirthahalli, we set out for the shores of Gokarna on a 250 kilometer ride. However, much before cruising on the coastal highway towards Uttara Kannada, we would have to encounter the dreaded Agumbe Ghats that with its steep inclines and hairpin bends is the sort that requires the utmost concentration and riding skills. Especially when one is trying to control a 400 kilo beast capable of 1800 cc of power.

  • @mithunshenoy459
    @mithunshenoy459 Před 2 lety +1

    If you thought the descent was tricky, I'd think you would have found the ascent to be very challenging with a bike as heavy as yours. I've had close calls with my relatively lighter, yet heavy Interceptor. I assume the trip is already complete, but next time, use Sringeri and Kudremukh ghats to ascend/descend. Equally fun but not as risky. Cheers

    • @KripalAmannaVlogs
      @KripalAmannaVlogs  Před 2 lety +3

      I personally find it is relatively easier to control the motorcycle when ascending as one also enjoys the traction of the engine, as opposed to none when going downhill, especially on a steep decline, trying to work with gravity using only low gearing and brakes.

    • @mithunshenoy459
      @mithunshenoy459 Před 2 lety +2

      @@KripalAmannaVlogs absolutely agree and I enjoy the ascent lot more as well, especially on the Z900 (that I also own) on the Madikeri or the Kudremukh ghats. But a couple of hairpins on the Agumbe ascent have always freaked me out especially because of the amount of traffic raining down from the other side, which gives no leeway for a wider u-turn. Never taking the Z there. Full disclosure - group rides in the past have taught me I'm not as skilled a rider as I had originally envisioned 😜 TGIF!
