For all the people who think he's pretentious or whatever, at least appreciate that in today's Hollywood mono-culture he's choosing to make movies that are different and he doesn't want to be like the factory-line directors, most of whom have no discernible personality.
yeah I think he does come across as kinda "pretentious" (sometimes.. not here at all though) but a lot of artist type people are like that.. and I totally agree with what you are saying Refn basicaly does whatever the hell he wants to do with his movies which is fucking awesome.

Since he claimed to have bought the rights to remake "The Witchfinder General" I wish he'd hurry up and remake the movie, and if you ever get a chance to see the original with Vincent Price, I highly reccomend you watch it! Great Film.
