I have been looking for a tutorial that would teach me how to make my own website for my self protection school. I tried following every popular channel on CZcams and always had questions. This guy covered everything that is important in Elementor in ONE video! I am glad I hit the thumbnail!!!!

This is a super tutorial on using the Astra theme. I've been doing HTML, CSS and JavaScript since the early to mid 90's and oddly enough, have never had a successful encounter with Wordpress. I just decided I was going to try once more about a week or so ago. We'll see, but I want to thank you for a very concise and thorough tutorial. In my mind, it makes sense!

This was a great Tutorial, thank you very much. I have a question though, being the bonehead I am I downloaded an entire Template to my site, which was already an existing site so you can imagine my surprise when my website was live as a duplicate of the template. Anyway, I figured it out eventually and I ended up using Astra and Elementor to build the homepage. But I notice the site speed has suffered. Any suggestions? Also any conflict by having downloaded the entire site template? Thanks again for the tutorial, it really helps a guy like me with less than 0 coding skills.

When I went to "edit with elementor" (around minute 1:09:40) I didn't see the "edit site footer" option you did. Is this because I don't have a pro version? In any case, for any with similar problems go to your website via wordpress then click "customize". On the left panel you'll see "header" and "footer" tabs that allow you to adjust the text of a template footer. Hope this helps.

Elementor Pro with Hello Elementor Theme is what you need... behind the scenes you have more pro power to manage, build and control work in ways not possible with the free version. I have Astra Pro, but switch it on and off for particular tools it offers as needed- like creating a full site in a click- i don't even install their theme, tool set, etc.. I've noticed with it Astra Pro deactivated my site editor runs faster, too.
Running Hello Elementor Theme and controlling everything through Elementor Pro's settings panel is a clean, fast, and easy set up- it can be set to override the customiser fonts, styles, etc.. Everything is very light, fast and easy to find.
Elementor Pro is worth every penny, but buy Astra Pro for at least one website for a year. It's best feature is the ability to launch a decent full website in a click, then getting to work learning the ropes properly. This feature alone is worth the money.
Plug-ins, like your friends should be chosen wisely... the good ones are invaluable. :)
Do yourself a favour and learn to back-up, copy and move or restore sample websites to avoid losing all of your real work one day... because it happens. Don't learn this lesson the hard way.
And, watch tons of talented CZcams instructor videos and practise often.

Hi there. Can anyone help me with a question? I have Astra installed and all set up nicely. But I want to change my home page only by changing the template. If I upload a new home page template with is change my menu structure, or will my menus be the same on the new template. I can't find the answer to this question anywhere.

Thanks a million. I've been messing around for days trying to get started. You've saved me days of grief and hard work and I know for sure that I will end up with a fantastic website in a fraction of the time. There is only one thing that I didn't find in your video and that is how do I backup the site and then restore to an earlier version. I know for sure that I'm going to get so far and bust my site and want to revert to a previous version.

HI! I was following your instructions to the T, and when you said you can delete the extra page etc, I noticed that there were two each of home, about etc and deleted them, my whole site has disappeared, all the changes I made, including Elementor, and even when I restored it back from trash, all the pages, it's as if a hurricane hit my site. What's the matter? How is this possible??
