That is the great thing I love about Elliot del Borgo, when he composes he includes a major part for every instrument and you need every instrument to be part of the song or else it is not the same.
+Totally Not A Gaming Channel at my school there's only 3 7th grade cellos in an 8th grade orchestra and its kinda tough because since theres no 8th graders the teacher expects more from you but so far for the 3 of us we're doing good
This makes me think of the Hellfire sequence in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, especially the image of Esmerelda dancing in the flames. I'm in a high school orchestra, and I'm playing this piece with the 8th grade orchestra in a special "night of strings".
I was 1st violin when I was in 7th grade at my spring concert last year. It was my first time for after 3 years of playing, that my director let me be a 1st violin. It was my favorite song we ever played.
its literally 2 am right now but this song is really throwing me back to high school lmao, in 9th grade chamber group i was the only cellist playing in this song and our full orchestra played it in 12th grade, wish i still had the sheet music for this as its my favourite song lol
Even though Elliot Del Borgo passed away in 2013, I'm glad to still be playing this piece. It's one of the most well-rounded pieces of music I've ever played, and is really fun to play - even with a group of 12 people. I love seeing all of the old comments from 10 or 15 years ago of people playing this during their time in High School, just like me :)
We're playing this song in orchestra. It doesnt sound half this good. I absolutely LOVE this song. I didnt realize how beautiful it was! I'm almost in tears!
This song is so beautiful and powerful. I love it so much I wish I could meet Del Borgo and tell him how good of a music artist he is but we all know I cannot sooo. i will play and listen to his song like a good child I am.
I remember playing this at a summer camp and to "visualize" the music (other people do that too, right?) we said that it sounded like some sort of ritual dance with cats falling from the sky 😂
tbh half the reason i watch these videos is for the description bc i find the poster's confidence in his mp3s so funny LOL. "AGAIN another one of my GOOD MP3S!! not a crappy highschool recording"
i played this song first in 9th grade as the only cello in my chamber group, then by some coincidence in 12th grade i played this with my full orchestra. i was so excited to play it but i was the only person left in the orchestra that had played it lol. so as a result i did a lot of conducting for it when ours was out, miss those days something mean
CELLOS ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE THIS SONG. They play in the beginning to start it off, they are the only ones holding a note at 1:06, at 2:13 they pretty much own as they have their own mini solo, and at 3:06....The best part of the piece, the cellos have their solo! Violins are pretty good, but no one tops the cellos!
In my orchestra we played this at about 50 bpm faster than what you're hearing for our State level Festival and we got a 1 which is the highest ranking you can get. I'm a cello player btw. Some parts of this song are just so much fun to play on a cello especially when going fast
It's a really good song for every part, usually the 1st violins get the coolest parts sometimes cellos but there's a really cool part for each section so it's overall a really good piece
i've been playing violin for a while and i LOVE this song man lol it's one of my favorites out of all the songs i've ever played and it's so simple but i like it because it has alot of harmonies and stuff & it's just interesting i love Danse Infernale! lol
i played this at our spring concert in 7th grade (last year) and it was my first time ever being a 1st violin, and i'm so glad i got to be a first for this song.
our concert orchestra played this for our all county i wish us chamber folks got it or it have been a full orchestra piece its such a good pice of music
I love This song. when i was playing on my cello (for orchrestra) i would always at the coda tear tear but at the concert i got it right and it was okay soo booyah :)
we palyed this last year in 7/8 grade orchestra, and it was awesome! i was a 1st and i love the harmonic section and i love the ending and we placed 1st in all festivals with this song
my orchestra at school is playing thus but not for a concert (i wish it was though) just to do something musicial wuth our instruments in class (im a 1st chair violist)
My orchestra is playing this for a concert, and I love this piece. (I have no idea what chair viola I am, because we don't really do rankings, unless someone is being really rude, plus there are only 4 violas so it doesn't really matter.)
We played this song when i was still in highschool it was te largest orchestra we ever had 14 1st 16 2nd 9 cellos and 8 on the bass its great i would love the mp3 i cant seem to find it anywhere
This guy decided to break the hands of every kid in orchestra
Tbh it wasn't that hard to play
It wasn't hard to psst at all
That was my grandpa lmao
@@jonathanhouk2127 bruh bruh
Bro my orchestra plays this no problem
Everybody thinks its just the cellos but the violas play just as big of a part in this piece.
Right?! I play the viola & we're playing this piece in orchestra class right now & we violas play a lot in this piece!
Jack Abrams so im but don't count out the 1rst violins
The entire orchestra has different main roles throughout the song. I played this song last year in orchestra.
How can you tell a viola is out of tune?
How is a viola like a lawsuit?
That is the great thing I love about Elliot del Borgo, when he composes he includes a major part for every instrument and you need every instrument to be part of the song or else it is not the same.
Alexander Kantzos Bass doesn't have anything major that the cellos dont have
Hi
viola gang
Everybody talks about the cellos...
no love for the basses
at my school, everyone hates cellos, there are around 7 cellos in total...
Totally Not A Gaming Channel
cellos are universally hated. Even by the damn violas.
and nobody cares about the violas
+Totally Not A Gaming Channel at my school there's only 3 7th grade cellos in an 8th grade orchestra and its kinda tough because since theres no 8th graders the teacher expects more from you but so far for the 3 of us we're doing good
Tarmorman RIP bass
Tarmorman lmao yes we need some contrabass love
Oh man this is hitting me right in the middle school nostalgia.
Is no one going to talk about those harmonics
Got to play Elliot Del Borgo for the man himself once in my middle scool orchestra for a competition he was a judge for, we won it was awesome.

Some parts of this song remind me of Dragonhunter:
RocGirl05 highkey same
Also Sailor’s Song they’re both good song
Me too, I played dragonhunter on 7th grade. Now I'm playing this on 8th grade and it reminds of dragonhunter.
RocGirl05 I played that song 2 years ago know I’m playing this one
same and a bit of arlington sketches
This makes me think of the Hellfire sequence in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, especially the image of Esmerelda dancing in the flames. I'm in a high school orchestra, and I'm playing this piece with the 8th grade orchestra in a special "night of strings".
dance in hell
19 years ago, man, middle school orchestra was the best. Cherish it, everyone.
I do. While I played this in high school, still gets the memories going. I will always cherish it.
1:20 to 2:00 probably my favorite part, absolutely gorgeous
I just love shifting to our harmonic A on the A string.
(Viola part)

We have to play it in my middle school, but I think I’m gonna hate it
@@classic014 i highly doubt you will!! its a super easy song. we’re doing it right now. As long as you practice.
@@classic014 ahhhh! that’s sad. i hope they all get there, it’s so satisfying when they do.
This is an amazing song, probably the best thing my orchestra class played all year. I love this piece and I think it deserves far more recognition.
Best cello part in a middle school song
Even though Elliot Del Borgo passed away in 2013, I'm glad to still be playing this piece. It's one of the most well-rounded pieces of music I've ever played, and is really fun to play - even with a group of 12 people.

hey! us cello players are cool. The sheet music is pretty easy.
We're playing this song in orchestra. It doesnt sound half this good. I absolutely LOVE this song. I didnt realize how beautiful it was! I'm almost in tears!

Dang it’s been years-
I played this my freshman year when I was still very new to the violin, and I’m a senior about to graduate in 2 days- wooooo
I am playing this freshman year as well.
I'm in 10th and I'm still learning this piece
@@ApeilpersonalLoll i’m in 7th learning this piece for chamber orchestra
@@star8314 I litterally just performed this in my winter concert yesterday. My school doesn't let anyone under 11th grade do chamber orchestra tho
0:55 is so cool.
Honestly the violas need some credit 💙
