Honestly after seeing one the humor is definitely repetitive but I like the idea of them individually. Especially putting them in random places. I remember the hermany grinder one from back in the day. Still have that pic floating around somewhere.
Even after the humor wears off, I do find the craftsmanship of them pretty endearing either way
Max's mind is gonna be blown when he realizes Alcremie has 63 different forms. 126 if you count shiny forms. I'm in just as much disbelief that gamefreak actually put that much effort into one pokemon.

I’m sure someone has said it but Alcremie can indeed take all those different forms based on how you evolve it in Sword and Shield. Also all the little bits on the back of the post card add the items you use to evolve it which give it different toppings.
I wouldn't be surprised if Obvious Plant made some of the bootLEG toys Max has bought haha

Depending on how you spin, direction, speed etc and what topping piece you use, you can change how your Alcremie will look. There is 63 different versions you can make (tho this includes if you put the same topping on just with different colors)
I honestly feel like actual bootlegs are a lot more interesting than these art ones tbh
The unfunny concepts and jokes on the packaging do nothing for me
Yeah seems like it's trying to mimic actual bootleg toys and it kinda ruins it because the bootleg toys are meant to be serious and these aren't. There's something funny about bootleg companies trying to mimic a real product and failing miserably but when it's done on purpose like this it ruins the joke. They're interesting toys but the humor is so washed up and overused and "haha quirky random" that it ends up more cringeworthy than funny
It'd be amusing to come across in an actual store but seems like it defeats the point to actually buy them.
I do like the "Let's Eat Barney" toy. I think it was one of the older ones but I do feel you on the over used spelling and grammar errors. The DBZ bootlegs are good for a chuckle or two though.

This was amazing. I love Obvious Plant's works and am on the email list. He did the story of Sneppy, and that was a 3 part story of a Snoopy knockoff. Highly reccomend if you are a fan.

15:42 Yes, Alcremie has many different forms and you can put different toppings on it. It depends on what time of the day it is and how long you spin for in the game to get the different colors of cream. The toppings don’t effect the cream color but it effects the eye color.

I went to an art exhibit in LA that was just obvious plant toys. And got to meet Jeff! It was a very cool experience. I bought a t-shirt that says "Covered in spiders, man!" With an image of Spiderman freaking out over being covered in spiders. And I got a water bottle, which was actually labeled "human tears." It was a fun time xD
