Best keyboard player, best bassist, best drummer... Nai Palm; just the funkingest, best singer, guitar player, composer/songwriter - visionary, entertainer... Hiatus Kaiyote; the most awesome, best and tightest band, EVER. I wish I hada been there.

I have to agree. I went to a show in 2019. Admittedly, I was on molly, but the whole thing was a surreal experience. They were shapeshifters of sound, they infiltrated both my brain and my booty

They have been working in their studio in Melbourne since the beginning of the year, including apparently a session with Anderson .Paak. They have tweeted they would release some new music before the end of the year and a new album early 2019 - instagram.com/p/BkxBcONn7a0/ :)
chicjaf poor nai got sick (cancer) in the process of them making their album, so I’m pretty sure that put a halt on it for awhile
Based on a recent interview, they finished the album! Now they are just waiting to do promotional videos/photos and the like before release.
The more I listen to this the more I’m sure I would spontaneously combust from how dope they are if I was there live. They are truly breathtaking.
Swamp Thing is what got me into HK and it did not disappoint here!

This performance is addicting I sat smiling watching the whole thing when I should have gone to sleep.
Mind blowing. The ease with which they play these REALLY complex songs is breathtaking
They’re not even close to the technical complexity caliber of Rush, Traffic, Aerosmith or Yes. These folks are just different. Hence why they have never been heard on radio or mainstream. They have their own form of expression. I don’t get it. They get strong drugs I guess. Like Jefferson Airplane in 1968. Just my opinion.
Phenomenal as always, kind of sucks the dude on the skins gets no love in this taping. All adept musicians. Nai Palm is my dream woman.
Been a fan for years and I'm still blown away. They make it look easy, but many of their songs aren't. What a band and Nai is a force of nature. Believe it!

Band is amazing, as expeted (you never fail to blow my mind) super human. But expected so much better from the lead singer. I hope she just took a bit too much dutch courage (must take a bit to stand up on stage and sing, especially fronting such an amazing band) Still love your work, can't get enough, bring more of that please!
Nai Palm disappears from stage, and then returns to give an awesome performance for the rest of the gig. maybe there is more going on than I can see. Sorry for the quick critosism (my bad) can't be easy to do what you do. LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite band ever! They seemed a little off on this performance though...jetlag?
This was a free gig in the middle of a sweltering summer, at a an outdoor venue with minimal sound techs trying to make things work for dozens of performers over a whole weekend. They did pretty good to say the least considering the circumstances
Being that a majority of their music is "behind the beat," you'd have to be a fan to really notice things being "off..." That being said, I didn't really notice them losing any pace, heat or not!!! :-) :-)
They are quite far away from eachother aswell. Drummer is so damn far in the back!! They still did great
