Now if this was on the lot sold like this, i'd sign up. Otherwise tundra is dated, slow and a gas guzzler compared to the current shared market segment.

+C Steele .. Dated? In what way? The various Tundra models are updated every couple of years to keep up with current trends.
As for slow, the Tundra got it's first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win at Michigan Intl Speedway in 2004. Toyota earned it's first manufacturer championship in 2006 by winning 12 of the 25 races, with Tundra retaining that title for the next four straight years. Tundra continues to win races.
As for gas mileage, yes, the Tundra gets slightly less mpg than similarly equipped competitors, which hardly equates to a gas guzzler - and real world tests (hauling, towing, etc) show the differences between trucks are even less.

I have a 2010 Tundra, with a Supercharger and big wheels. It takes 13.7... average - pretty good I must say.
At the end of the day no matter what you do to this thing...it's still just a Toyota. ..my god..seriously?

just traded in my 2001 Tundra for a 2016. My 2001 had 287000 mi., no issues.
The mods are nice but just not a fan of toyota truck, too much plastic
Too much plastic? Compared to what?
I am not a fan of the interior of the truck. Outside looks good, not denying that. However the interior I find (this also extends to lexus) is poorly executed. The material and design used in toyotas (and lexus) are a bit behind the times. Too much hard plastics laced throughout along with the design and organization of the instrument panels/components. To explain why I added lexus into that category, I have had time and driven their newest RC F and while performance is comparable to it's german equivalents, the layout, look and feel of the interior feels as if it was lifted from 1990's. As for trucks, my personal taste is geared to the GMC Sierra as I feel that blends well the core aspects of what a truck is a long with the luxury components of a $40,000+ vehicle.
So it is not the amount of plastic you are referring to but the type of plastic used (since all trucks have near 100% plastic interiors) and the overall design that you dislike. Ok that makes more sense.
