This is such a good reminder! As a retiree on a fixed income, I certainly don't need to be spending on packaging and marketing when I can get the same look within my budget.
I used to feel that way but as a retiree I enjoy the process and spoiling myself in a small way.
I love drugstore dupes! I can buy highend makeup and sometimes do: Natasha Denona, Sidney Grace and Pat McGrath. I prefer to save money and spend it on my grandkids, fur babies and traveling. Thanks for this great video Mandy!
Yes that physicians formula brow gel is a dupe for the Patrick Ta lamination brow gel the exact packaging and spoolie too.
Both sides look identical! The drug store is where I would go.
I never feel guilty about my makeup indulgences. I have the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, I also have two shades of the Elf Halo Glow, the second because they expanded the shade range to include an even fairer fair lol
I have the Dior lip oils, I have the Elf.
I never waver on brows. ABH. Can’t talk me out of it, the shade Caramel won me over for being a better strawberry blonde than just “blonde” which has always been too yellow.
I used to have to save up every penny, I currently do not have to. When I retire, I’ll need to save up again. I’ll still do it because it makes me feel good.

I woild love to see how they wear side by side. Also, those with sensitive skin may have trouble with the dupes when used consistently. At least I would! Beautiful look!

Just had to share with you, I bought the Sydney Grace singles pallet that is on sale now. It was $65 , I used a coupon code and got it for $55. There are over 50 shades, so I got each shade for about $1. Can't wait for it to arrive!!
I feel like the blush was far better on the high end side vs the drugstore side. I love these videos!! It's a good reminder to save some of my money...step away from the Chanel counter 😅

So…The ND palette is called Yucca. This is a type of plant. Most (if not all) of the shades in the yucca palette are also plants or seeds of plants (like flax). Plan-TAY-zhuh. Cuh-LAW-thia, uh-KAY-shuh…Just botany, not a foreign culture. 😅

I love this so much! Thank you for giving us affordable options especially with this economy things are just so expensive. I use foundation Wet & Wild not just for price but it works so well on my mature aged skin. I have Estée Lauder, Makeup by Mario etc but W&W looks better & lasts all day for me. A great dupe for the Benefit brow pencil is the brow pencil from Joah. I actually like it slightly better than Benefit.
I am 67 & I found you about a year ago & I can’t listen to anyone else. I’ve binge watched you over and over again and I’m pretty sure am caught up. You are always with me now when I’m putting on my makeup. I’ve gotten so many great hints from you! You are so easy to listen to. I’m sure I may have gotten this from you, because I never used half the dupes you’ve recommended until I found you! But have you tried the revolution eyeliner? It’s a little more expensive but it gives the wet & wild one some competition. Also I was wondering if you have ever tried those face tightening serums? You definitely don’t need one for years but I was thinking you might have heard some feedback or something ?
I tried the Peter Roth one & was pretty disappointed how it turned white and balled up when I tried to use makeup with it. Maybe they’ve improved the formula since trying it, but it was horrible. Just wondering if you had any suggestions or thoughts about it? Anyway I hope you get this, since I’m not messaging you on your most recent post but the one I decided to listen to today. We don't see any difference between the 2. When we look at the price of makeup, we are very happy to find dupes at low prices and which give a magnificent result
I have a few thibfs drugstore. But I tend to spend more money trying to find good drugstore. For me it’s more trial and error. Which means more money spent. I don’t wear makeup everyday so thibfs last me a long time so I dont move spending because drugstore is just to much trial and error for me.
I'd love to know what other dupes you have for the fenti bronzer. I love that bronzer, but fenti is not cruelty free as of April 2024, so I need a few good dupes. 😵💫

Looking at you at the the very start of the video , I had picked the high end side of your face. That said the eye shadows were identical.
What's a dupe 4 the Soft Amber Fenty Match Stix Contour Stick or the powder version?? The shade Soft Amber fits me PERFECTLY.

To me it's about accessabiliity & shade searching. Drug store products I often am not able to find the shade or item as it's sold out, esp since you can't swatch in most of my stores. So I'd rather spend more & get the exact shade & find it when I want it.

There isn't a huge difference between the 2 sides, but I'm always able to call it from the intro because of the blush. It isn't different enough for me to justify it, but I found it funny that blush has been the common thing throughout these videos 😅

I could not tell even a small difference in the look- both very nice- so I am all for the cheaper cosmetics- then I can buy more groceries- ha :P

I love these videos because it shows how overpriced high end make up is. It amazes me, in this economy, that overpriced cosmetics companies are still doing so well. Get smart here, people! Stop wasting your hard earned money to further line the pockets of millionaires. Keep that money in your pocket and take a weekend trip with your family instead of overpaying for cosmetics.

It's hard to tell the difference since you are far away and probably use a filter. You could probably put on mustard, and it would match
