"Broadcast News" is as close to a perfect movie that can be achieved. The casting was flawless -- Holly Hunter, at 28 and still relatively unknown -- gave a timeless performance that is one of the best of all time.

@@canaisyoung3601 This months I've being rediscovering his craft. Came to the conclussion that in spite he isn´t an auteur. The feeling and even the sensations are the same in the films he made, and are just like The Simpsons. Satires with smart humor, but at the same time a feeling of nostalgia, and family, that it can even show a dramatic side with happy/sad tears. He doesn´t have a perfect filmography, talking about Spanglish and How do you Know? But I highly reccomend, Broadcast News and As good as it Gets. I don't think that Terms of Endearment is as good or as fun as the others, but is the film that includes most of the sensations I'm talking about. Also his work as producer is underated. He basically discover Wes Anderson, Cameron Crowe and now Kelly Fremon Kreg, and of course Penny Marshall.

I wonder what the point of these videos are. If it's that you hope to gain sales of the titles your luminary guests choose, then you might want to consider giving viewers an idea of what titles are being selected. More often than not, the guests do not exhibit any awareness of the viewer, and don't show the cover of the title. Or they mumble it, or the title is never even mentioned, or the name of the movie it's buried beneath a narrative of when/where/how the guest came to appreciate that movie.
Tip: ADD A LINE OF TEXT FOR EACH TITLE CHOSEN, either superimposed as they're selected, or at the end, like a slate with a summary, for example: James L. Brook's Picks: 1: xxx, 2: xxx, 3:xxx, 4: xxx, 5: xxx, etc., etc., so that viewers who might be interested in supporting you will know what you'd like them to consider adding to their collection.
