When I tell you CJ is the BEST GTA Protagonist …bro he literally became one of the most dangerous men in America. The connections he gained through is crusade across San Andreas is unparalleled.
He could also be much more influential than Tommy ever was. Tommy's reach are only limited to Vice City as we know so far while sigma CJ literally manages one of the largest street gangs in LS, owning both a garage and a successful dealership in SF, and even owning shares at potentially the richest casino in LV. And if we so choose, he can own profitable properties around the map of the game, essentially granting him control over the entire state of San Andreas. Heck, his ties to a dangerous Chinese Triads and possibly government agency provided him protection from literally any threat. No one can even come close to laying a finger on CJ himself. This dude is OP shxt...

CJ is my favourite character in gta by far, his dry sense of humour is perfect for making all the crazy stuff he goes through more palatable, and I mean just look at his resume by the end of the game. The man literally took on all of SA, including the most secret government base in America, a whole faction of the mafia, and (if you could be bothered) all gang territories in LS. Absolute king

It won't happen, seeing as characters that have had a visual appearance in the 3D universe GTA games (III, Vice City, GTA Advanced, San Andreas, LCS, and VCS) don't exist in the HD universe GTA games (IV, Chinatown Wars, V).

Yes, but the HD og loc doesn't know CJ or Sweet at all. Or how the old Mafia families in GTA 3 isnt mentioned at all in GTA IV or GTA V. They were gonna make a San Andrea's Stories like LCS and VCS but never did. Probably would've explained certain portions of that aspect

Maybe a prequel or sequel. We could play Carl in Vice city, or before going to VC. Or maybe a few mission after the end, doesnt even have to be with Carl. Just to see what happened to LS after Tenpenny.

San Andreas has the best body removal system in the world . Coroners are invisible and the paramedics always manage to revive a body , as long as there's a head still attached ....and let's not forget that inside every garage there are magic elves that repair you car no matter how trashed you bring it in . Life's good!
GTA 3 did that first but yea, I love that shit. Except on a mission because for some reason it doesn't repair my car..

Sweet was stuck in that backwards, self-destructive "hood4life" mindset. CJ had the common sense approach - the world is much bigger than the hood.

Never forget that CJ was right in that instance. Owned a garage in San Fierro, and has a share in a casino in Las Venturas, and was managing for Madd Dogg. CJ was raking in a bunch of money and all Sweet cared about was the hood.

@@Diamond_2403 CJ had a great point while he was from the grove, he built up using some contacts and forced contacts into building something much bigger then his brother ever wanted to just owning the street. Even if Sweet kept up his life CJ could have had many places and ways to filter that money around. Even more so with his casino stake allowing another way to filter that money about. going from some small time gang to owner of a big time criminal. While sweet was stuck in the hood, CJ did everything he could to keep sweet happy in the end while living what would be a great life.

CJs birth year was revealed by rockstar years ago which is 1968. It even tells you his age during gameplay stats which is 24 and the year is 1992. He wasn't born in the 70s. Sweet was born in 1966. And OG Locs last name isn't Martin it's Cross(Jeffrey Cross)

CJ was definitely the most polarizing character in the entire series to date. He stands out amongst the other protagonists.
Yeah he's funny and extremely good at everything almost cartoonishly so. But I enjoy his character a lot. The family aspect is a big part of why I like him so much.
I'm pretty sure those "international deals" was just Big Smoke being blackmailed into doing Tenpenny's dirty work, as is the case with most of Big Smoke's missions. But I have no evidence to support this conjecture.
I highly suspect that you are correct.
That's all they were. Every big smoke mission is him doing ten penny's dirty work while manipulating cj into thinking these over the top schemes were to help out grove street. That's why Carl is always suspicious, confused and questioning Smoke while doing the missions for him, he feels something is off but didn't put the pieces together until Caesar shows CJ that smoke and Ryder worked with tenpenny on the final LS mission before being sent to the rural area

He was loyal to Grove Street. But, yes, there was no reason he couldn't have been happy that CJ made it big.

unpopular opinion: mike toreno is possibly my favorite character because he's that stereotypical FBI agent that sits in a high tower watching you do the dirty work and tunes in a couple times, albeit with golden yet forgettable lines

That opinion isn't unpopular at all. Many fans of this game consider Toreno their favorite character of the game, thanks particularly to his voice actor, James Woods.

CJ killed a lot of people and caused a damages in 4 cities he went [Los Santos , San Fierro , Las Venturas and Liberty City (in one mission)] while most other GTA protagonists only do that in one city. And Toni literally blew up / destroyed the whole of Fort Staunton district.

GTA San Andreas would be the only game in the series where the protagonist doesn't kill the final antagonist (unless you count GTA V's first two endings, you're playing as the characters you can kill off).
I mean, chasing Tenpenny with a car and shooting at him so much that he crashes off a bridge... That still feels a lot like killing, even though he doesn't put the final bullet in him. He still dies right away as a result of this. But I get your point also.

I remember there was rumors of a prequel to a San Andreas for years after it came out. Similar to how we got Liberty City/vice city stories. But instead we got a short machinerma instead.
Chad CJ: Didn’t let money get to him, ended a drug epidemic in his hometown, freed his brother, got rid of corrupt cops, has multiple girlfriends.
Virgin Franklin: robbed banks, sold drugs, happily worked with corrupt cops, can’t even keep 1 girlfriend (tanisha)
CJ robbed a bank and a Casino, Franklin was working alongside 2 known criminals. Franklin also didn't want to sell drugs, that was Lamar and again, it was Micheal that got him working for the FiB.

Both CJ and Franklyn had the same idea of escaping the hood and both of them got out. Though CJ is probably the best and most dangerous dude from any of the protagonist. Franklyn also did great in his life becoming a successful businessman.
