Suarez was insanely good that season. Liverpool almost won the PL despite not having a decent keeper or defence
His bite did cost them the season.
@@drSvensen Not at all. Suarez was banned for the first few matches that season but Liverpool still got good results with Sturridge up at front. It was the terrible defence that cost us

Lovren subsequently played a World Cup final, won the Champions League and League - so he didn't turn out too bad.

To be fair, they were basing the players on what they'd done for the first few months of that season, and at that time all four had been in sensational form

I don't support either but carra is so much more biased than Neville and I don't even know if it's a bit he's doing but the constant winding up he's always trying against Neville gets so annoying. If Neville says something it's generally an unbiased view whereas carra would luck Liverpool's arse for the rest of his days no matter what happened

People keep blaming Stevie.. there were so many things that season. To me we lost the title when kolo toure did a back pass to Mignolet against west brom (I think) Victor Anichebe (again I think) intercepted, scored and drew the game. So many incidents like this.

Wasn't a back pass - he tried to play a ball across to his partner in CB (I forget who) *instead of* passing back to his GK. That's why it was intercepted

Maybe because Ramsey was 23 that season and had made his league debut back in 2007. Not sure I would count that as a 'young' player but then some people still think Jesse Lingard is a young player and he's 28 lol
"No one wants to grow up to be a Gary Neville" -I get what Carra was saying( we all want to be Pele etc) but I would have even loved to have grown up beside Neville,then I could be sure there was someone else who would lso stay out late playing football,someone else who could talk about football even more than me.

I think Gary Neville is a terrific pundit. He is more professional & more articulate than Carragher & I actually respect his opinion more because, even though he is biased, he doesn't act it.
