Thanks for the walk. I was born and raised in Australia and Sydney was my favourite city. Looks like it still is. So pleased they’ve retained many of the great and uniquely Australian buildings despite some terrible losses like the Hotel Australia, Regent theatre etc. Must go back again soon.

I'm from Canada, and I'm always amazed at how in Australian winter, many people are wearing scarves, hats and puffy jackets when it's like 18C outside! We'd be wearing short sleeves and many of us would wear shorts. :)
Habits...you see. I'm from the Middle East where it is 40-50 C for 8-9 months of the year. So yes, when the temperature drops to 22 C in the remaining 3 months, I do see people wearing winter clothing over here!
I'm from Russia. And we can walk down the street at -5 degrees without a hat and gloves. Frosty blood! :)
But our summer is hot. Sometimes it's 30 degrees.

It's coz of the extreme temperature variation. One has no option but to do according to the season. By wearing winter clothes even if 18-22.coz majority of month s it's 30-45

As a Brazilian, I find it interesting that here we always envision cities from developed countries as ideal, but something that Brazilian cities have the best and they don't, is a huge amount of green (a lot of vegetation) mixed in the city.
As a Brazilian, i completely disagree. Most of brazilian cities are poor and don't have so much green areas. i really think that cities like Sydney give us that feeling because all we know that Brazil hasn't have places like that. It's just a illusion.
Curitiba, gramado, Campos de Jordão, e muita cidades do sul do Brasil, tem muito verde sim, só não temos igualdade social, valores inversos. Mas Sidney ( Austrália ) é muito lindo. Minha cidade preferida é Curitiba por causa do verde e calçadas lindas, muitas árvore.

O que mais falta e afeta as cidades Brasileiras são justamente a falta de áreas verdes ,isso afeta até o clima do Brasil. Um exemplo é SP que a cidade está tão cheia de concreto que o solo dela não consegue respirar direito.
No Brasil as cidades são todas cinzas e feias ,os centros são cheios de predios e construções, e o bairros residências mal tem arvores e gramados ,sem contal a falta de parques verdes em cada bairro.
Situação completamente diferente de países de primeiro mundo onde os todo bairro tem parque grandes com gramado e muitas arvores , todo bairro as casas tem jardins verdes muitas arvores nos quintais ,ruas arborizadas e calçada verdes com gramados. Países de primeiro mundo são exemplo em cidades verdes e sustentáveis

I was in Sydney this week and walked from Circular Quay along George Street until I reached China Town on Sunday night. Being a Melbournian for almost 30 years I like Sydney's train that run between the airport to the city centre, it is convenient and also cheap (about $20), only takes about 15 minutes. The transport system is Sydney is a bit different to Melbourne there is no maximum cap for you daily spending on public transport, a trip on ferries from Darling Harbor to Circular Quay cost me $7.70 and from Circular Quay to city centre (Town Hall) cost me $3.30 on a one way trip ( if my calculation is correct), in Melbourne the public transport fare is capped under $10 and $7.20 for the weekend. But I enjoyed my trip on the ferries, it allows you to travel to various parts of Sydney
