    All of these videos show fully clothed 'patients' who are able to assist themselves in turning. We need videos for bare skin turning and patients who are dead weight and unable to assist and importantly 200+ pounds.

      Yes. As a retired nurse, you’re so correct. When you’re working with a person that’s dead weight and can’t assist with their care. Sometimes you might need an extra person to help with turning the patient.

    Great tips and I'm sure the "no gloves" was simply an oversight. It takes a lot of time and energy to create a professional video. This was straight to the point and great. Thank you.

      It was fake as hell. We need tutorials showing patients who CANNOT assist in the turning process, and who are unclothed and more importantly those who weigh 200+ pounds. Real life, not acting.

      Sometimes you have to adapt per client wishes. There are some differences that will happen in real life as opposed to what you see. What is helpful is these videos help you pass competency skills testing period as long as you are doing your best to prevent any infection all bed bathing is good bathing when it makes your client feel human again❤😂

      I've just begun the same care giving of my mother. It's only been two days and I wonder if I'm up to the task. The hardest part is the beginning of the cleaning process everyday when she's soiled with her own feces. The odor is sickening. How do you get this part over with as quickly as possible?

    • @tonyaseaton9195
      @tonyaseaton9195 Před 11 měsíci +4

      It's tough but im hopeful that you can get past it. Maybe you can wear a mask while doing these things that helps .... it's important to make sure your mom doesn't sense the disgust... it will create tension for both of you I'm sure she's already embarrassed to be in the situation..you will get quicker the more you have to do it and creating a plan of attack and having everything you need handy truly speeds up the process ...God bless you! I've been through this a few times with different family members... I watch videos periodically for more tips and hacks...you got this!

      No rinsing required.
