    When David mentioned getting an Achilles strain in those shoes, it reminds me of a situation I had with the Zoom Freak 3s my first time wearing them, but instead of an Achilles, I had a bad calf strain (which is attached to the Achilles). I was on crutches for a few weeks & out of bball for 1.5 months. After suffering that calf strain, I watched Foot Doctor Zach who reviews bball shoes in-depth & he actually said the ZF3s will give you Achille & calf issues because of the way they're built.

      Widths matter a lot, even being like a 1.75E vs 2.25E could completely change the options on the table. NewBalance is the only USA brand that offers widths for its basketball division.

      try asics basketball or volleyball shoes if they dont have your half size then go down a half size for example you are a 11.5 in nike and other brand go down to 11 and you be okey

      @@fungbrosnew balance is almost no wider. I measured the insoles on their EEs and were not any better that standard widths of most companies.

      You should try hoka and brooks out. They both sell wide fitting trainers, hoka also sells walking/hoking boots. Hoka do 30 day trial/return, and brooks' is a 90 day trial return. I know they're not basket ball shoes but I've played in running shoes for decades with no injuries as bball shoes are all too tight.

    I've been wearing Lebron 16's lately as they are pretty wide and roomy in the midfoot especially compared to recent models like the lebron 20 and 21. Pretty crazy how the entire shoe shape changed over the years even though lebrons feet are the same.

    Solid video for sure! Being a bit of a bigger guard as well, (6'0, 200 LBS,) I'd say this is definitely a good list! I've very much have had a few of these, and still have some including the LeBron X & Lebron X Elites, Jordan 37, Peak Flash (the first one,) etc.
    I'd say what I'd highly recommend is Li-Ning as well. If you guys like Boom cushion, the Liren (Sharp Edge) line are awesome (specifically the 3 & 4s.) They're pretty much a more modern hyperdunk and I've had a blast hooping in them. I've also been hooping in the AG4s, but weirdly enough with their regular model, when I ordered a 13, I received a 12.5 so I'm not sure if that's technically their sizing but I think it is. (Still fits like a 13 interestingly enough.)
    Quick questionn for y'all: Where on earth do you find bigger sizes for 361? I feel like my experience has been a bit hit or miss with finding size 13 with them haha.

    What o you classify as a big boy guard though. 6'3 240lb, usually end up in a wing/big-man role in pickup but do some more like a shooting guard in rec league

Please be the first youtubers to give LEGIT width measurements of the insoles at front of foot by pulling out and measuring the width of insole and build a chart showing REAL NUMBERS for width of shoe. This is how real handmade custom shoemakers do it. We need a channel who gives real data and real width comparisons.. PLEASE HELP!!

    • @lionelgrisbane
      @lionelgrisbane Před 6 měsíci +2

      Wade shoes are super narrow. I had the new balance two wxy v4 normal width, and they felt tight, but the Wade Fission 9 was even tighter. I heard Way of Wade 10 is also narrow. Foot Doctor Zach has pointed out that Wade All City 12 and 808 3 Ultra are super narrow at the top. I'm really disappointed at how narrow the Wade Fission 9 are and now I can't return them. Can't wear them very long without pain.

      @@lionelgrisbane they say the wade 5 is good for wide feet. But i don't wanna risk it.I don't think it will really make a huge different since it was design for d wade. I am with a two wxy v4 wide half size up. It feels better.But now my pinky toe side feel a bit pain after i hoop. Still a better choice imo.waiting for the fresh foam bb release a width version right now

    • @lionelgrisbane
      @lionelgrisbane Před 6 měsíci

      @@yangli2014 Yea, I'm not going to risk buying anymore Wade shoes. Feel like I wasted $120. I can't find any wide two wxy v4 in my size, I'm waiting to see if the new colorway dropping this Friday will have 2E. But yea I'm also waiting for Fresh Foam BB v2, but I think it is wider than two wxy v4 anyway. Colorway sucks though.

    • @lionelgrisbane
      @lionelgrisbane Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@yangli2014 Yea, I think all the Wade shoes are going to be narrow. And same here, I was hoping they would release wide sizes on the fresh foam bb v2 and two wxy v4 new colors last week but they didn't. Bummer.

    I don't think cars , or shoes, get better. They become more efficient. It performs the same function with less premiums. Performance wise they stay relatively the same, but in terms of value, and the craftsmanship, there no comparison.

    I am a small guard, about 6’01” , 215lbs, Kobe ‘s line is the most comfortable or the worst because of the narrow toe box.
