  • This video is for anyone asking "why is my RV water pressure low?" Most people believe it is the RV park's water pressure that is the issue, but many times, the issue of low water pressure in your RV is due to a blockage!
The easiest way to determine if your low RV water pressure is due to a blockage is to take note of which side, HOT or COLD, that has the low water pressure. If the low water pressure is on the HOT side, it is most likely due to sediment buildup being pushed from your hot water tank, through the lines, and causing a partial blockage.
Depending on how fine the sediment is, it could cause low water pressure on both the HOT and COLD side due to the blockage being at the actual faucet head and not in the line itself.
In this video, I will show you how easy it can be to restore the water pressure in your RV kitchen faucet and save some money by NOT REPLACING your RV faucet.

Another thing to check is another open valve like outside shower turned off by the head and the mixing is still on will let water flow slow

Check the anode rod in the water heater...if you haven't already. The issue may have started there.

Thanks for the suggestion. Our water heater does not have an anode rod though. I think it’s due to many RV parks being on well water and just years of gradual sediment buildup.

We have low water pressure on both hot and cold at our kitchen faucet.

The sediment buildup could be in the combination valve. May still be able to disconnect the water lines and blow out the hot & cold side.

There is a check valve on the exit side of hotwater tank. It will stick half closed!

Check the mixing cartridge inside the faucet itself. You should be able to remove it fairly easily and clean it. --Also, a plumber once taught me to turn off the water .. remove the cartridge, then turn on the water again for ~5 seconds. This will blow full pressure water and clear everything. (And make a mess, so do this with two people, one to turn the water on, another to guide the torrent of water somewhere.
