Common Ground kicks off in cinematic style with ‘The Inconsistency Principle’. Things then move to the dance floor with recent favourites ‘My Own Hymn’ and ‘Northern Soul’, debuted by Above & Beyond at their sold out ABGT250 festival. OceanLab siren Justine Suissa shines on the groove heavy ‘Naked’, while A&B mainstay Zoë Johnston lends her voice to the sun-soaked ‘Sahara Love’. ‘Happiness Amplified’ features a rapturous refrain delivered by the unmistakable voice of Richard Bedford, before a change in gear for the progressive ‘Is It Love? (1001)’. The slow burning ‘Cold Feat’ is another poignant moment from Justine Suissa, with Marty Longstaff tackling the uncertainties of life in ‘Tightrope’. ‘Alright Now’s' message of perseverance in the toughest of times dove tails with ‘Bittersweet & Blues’ reflections on absence and abandonment. Stripping things back to the band’s acoustic core, the stunning ‘Always’ is an optimistic Zoë Johnston-led ballad. The title track, ‘Common Ground,’ premiered at Ultra Miami 2017, is a final, thought-provoking instrumental bookend to the journey.

When you listen to the album many times, on studio monitors, with headphones, on a shit bluetooth speaker even those free headphones you get in tour groups, the music is always the same awesome piece of musical genius.

I love, loVE, LOVE and greatly appreciate and admiie A&B!!!!! As a retired former pro club and mobile DJ AND Pro Sound/Recording and Lighting Engineer too, for many bands and shows, and drummer too all for over 28 years,, I have also worked in Professional Show Production (Sound/Lighting/Staging/Backline too) for over 20 year working countless world touring top selling artist/bands and theater for off Broadway shows. My ultimate favorite music is electronica, followed by electronic, epic/theatrical, and contemporary jazz. I went from Radio to a LGBT supported dance night club DJ back in the early 80's, decades b4 social media and the digital marketing platform. There was no FB, Youtibe, Spotify, etc back in those days for both marketing yourself as a DJ and discovering other DJ's and music like we are able to now. Plus, we only had records and turntables with pitch control but no bells and whistles features on the mixers, much less able to use / plug into a computer on channels too Back then in the 80's and early 90's , here in the States, I was playing and mixing dance/trance and hienergy tunes from artist mostly out of Europe, Canada, etc and especially Patrick Cowley aka "Sylvester (my favorite from the 80's)".
I work FT in in Technology, have for 23 years. DJ'ing and Show Production was my side passion I did outside of my full time day job in Technology. So, I stay extremely busy and rarely got much sleep, which was fine by me because I was living my passion and dreams. 7 years ago, I retired from mobile DJ'ing & Show Production (my own business and working shows for other production companies). I retired and sold most of my gear/lights and even large music library too.
I retired to devote more of my non-working time to the rescue , welfare, care/rehabbing animals. That is where my heart and passion is now in my next chapter on this journey called Life.
I discovered A&B when I came across their Ocean Lab project cd and fell in love with it! A&B's Ocean Lab project is awesome and so beautiful. I could not get enough of that cd and wore it out. I love and so appreciate A&B and their passion, talent, mixing, music they wrote, and the wonderful journey their music and mixes take you on. And I love Love LOVE Justine Suissa on vox. A&B could not have picked a more sensual, beautiful, angelic vocalist than Justin Suissa. I have worked thousands of shows both concerts, and theater for top artists and vocalist, and my DJ'ing background, especially mobile and club, I have hard some amazing vocalist. Still, Justine Suissa is tops to me. I regularly promote A&B, and Justine Suissa to many here in the States.
I am of fan of Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Gate, Paul VanDyke, ThrillSeekers, and the like.
However in the electronica/dance genra A&B IS THE BEST w/out question!!!

i got glued to A & B since i listened to Anjunabeach when most wanted 2012 was released, and i just love how loyal they are to their true essence, a special kind of essence that makes you feel out of this world even if you're on the public transport, or just walking around your city every walk feels like exploring another dimension, and right now, i got an old memory back from when i was first introduced to electronic music, and Above and Beyond was among the first eletronic music groups i discovered, eternal life to the modifiers of perceptions.
A&B can always strike emotional chords I never think I have and the tears just well up.
