- Comicbook.com's Brandon Davis got to talk with the cast of House of The Dragon, which premieres tomorrow on HBO Max, and while he was interviewing Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Milly Alcock, Fabien Frankel, Emma D'Arcy, and Olivia Cooke, he had to know...which game of thrones character would they most liked to have a drink with?
While it turns out someone in the cast had randomly run into Jamie Lannister actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in a bar, the House Of The Dragons stars had all kinds of suggestions, from Tormund to Cersei and everyone in between.
They also talked working with dragons, the struggle for the iron throne, and what it's like following up the success of Game of Thrones. All that and much more in our exclusive cast interview!

I want to watch the world burn at Daemons feet. Matt smith is absolutely brilliant
I love what Miguel pointed out as the fundamental difference between Viserys & Daemon-
the latter wants to rule by fire and blood, conquests are everything.
But the former who has inherited a reign of peace feels the pressure of holding on to that, plus he also believes in the mystical aspects of Targaryens ie. their gift of foresight/premonition (and the looming threat of the Long Night and winter. Although I think that is more of a show Easter Egg rather than a book thing)
Olivia Cooke reminds me SO much of Rachel Weiz, our queen from The Mummy movies

Matt Smith will always be the Doctor to me since he's the one who gotten me interested in the Doctor Who series. Well, him and Karen Gillian.
Btw, I'm glad Matt think Daemon would have supported Dany. It's too bad they couldn't make it happen because it would have been awesome sight to see.
I love how paddy and Steve both picked Ned.
I literally love all these people, but I'm more and more impressed with Fabien. He seems really intelligent in his interviews; he frequently refers to historical and cultural references in his answers

I mean...as far as the prophecy went, if you squint...Jon was a Targ on a throne who united the kingdom to fight the threat from beyond the Wall more so than Dany...
I guess you could say Dany brought larger armies and more firepower, but she wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for Jon...and I say that as someone who loved Dany (well...both of them)...until the last season...
Eve Best ( Rhaenys) looks a bit like Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) :P

Dany’s brother is named after King Viserys but thinks he is Daemon. Dany is Rhaenerya who grew up in a poorer time
Dany's bro is a fool who cannot really fight. Rhaenyria is a tragic character. She would have been a great queen. If she lived during Dany's time, she would have been loved in Westeros and ruled wisely. Jon probably would have married her.
@@mannylugz5872 if they lived in Dany's time, they would be fugitives running from Robert Baratheon's assassins. If Dany's brother were similar to King Viserys, he would be trying to live a quiet life and would not sell his sister to the Dothraki for an army

The old Viserys is very meek so he will become second fiddle.
I was just thinking why didn't anyone name Tyrion as the character to have drink with. I very much like to hear his honeycomb and a jackass story.

I hope since the series isn’t called the dance of the dragons they cover all the generations of targaryans all the way up to the mad king and roberts rebellion. It’d be fun to see little Easter eggs of a young maester aemon and his younger brother Aegon and his adventures with Duncan the tall then aegon grow up to become the unlikely king and aemon go to the wall, then end with the tragedy of the fall of the Targaryens.

I love it but I don't think you should praise someone for using someone else's preferred pronouns, that should be a given. I think we should treat pronouns like names. If someone says their name is Amy, you wouldn't call them Laura because they "look like a Laura". Likewise, if someone's pronouns are they/them, you shouldn't call them she/her because they look femme presenting.

For me the show is awesome! Cause it's very unusual set of character and story. And want to know what will happen to these brothers in the show if Veserys discover the rumors about Rhaenyra and Daemon deep closeness.

I love emma, but Milly IS rhaenyra embodied to me. I wish Rhaenyra could have been played just by her, respectfully. And then give Emma a different role within the series there’s a lot she could be!
I wish. but Milly can't convincingly play a hardened woman who has SIX kids who will be teenagers at some point in the show.

I liked Milly too but it wouldn’t have made sense especially with her becoming a mother. Plus Milly’s portrayal is the Rhaenyra who is optimistic and thinks she can make her own decisions. Emma’s will be portraying the loss of all that and then some.
